I totally agree with this, but would also add that his impressive comeback was also a big part of whatever little legacy he has.

To me, it wouldn't mean much.

I know Haye was a great cruiserweight and is a very good heavyweight.

A win over Vitali at this stage would be no surprise.

But to the sort of unemployed council house sort of posters who like to sit at their keyboard and type things like Haye "sucks" is a "coward" or whatever other tripe it is they peddle, it'd be hell itself.

    and that would amuse me.

    He has no great legacy.

His best wins are over a load of crap fighters, he never even ruled his own division in it's period of utter ****.

He's a tough guy, and surprisingly skilled for such a big man, but he's not going down as much.

He fought bravely against an old, fat, disinterested Lennox Lewis, who had long since fell out of love with the sport, but somehow managed to get beaten. And that's his legacy, almost grabbing the torch off old Lewis, but instead getting clobbered upside the head with the torch instead, by a Lewis who then threw the torch into the gutter, where it has remained henceforth.

A win over Haye, especially at the age he is now, would be a good achievment and would certainly help a bit.

I mean who is his 5th best win?

Probably Danny Williams or some ****, I cant be bothered analysing his worthless resume so I don't know for sure

i agree, it wouldn't be a huge surprise. It's a mildly interesting fight maybe.

The internet is full of all sorts. You seem quite involved or affected by those comments. Maybe an emotional attachment, I dunno.

btw, Haye did himself no favours with the Wlad fight, build up and aftermath. If he had stood in the ring after going 12 defensive rounds with Wlad and said something other than what he did say, maybe he'd be forgiven more readily and the abrasive pre-fight hype would have been taken in good humour. But there was a "true colours" moment right there. His character was found out.
It's hard to take him seriously since.

Haye gave wlad the most trouble since Peter, in that wlad couldn't get his offence going, but haye couldn't get anything going himself

Wasn't an embarrassing display at all compared to the shite wlad has fought in rcebt years... Punch bags
