OK, but you missed the point and decided to talk about something else. No problem, I'll wait for a response from someone who gets it.

I dont disagree, but it's not quite the way i was looking at it. I wouldnt view it him in the same ways as the Klitschkos.

Mayweather is a celebrity boxing Cashcow - fights once a year for massive pay checks, then disappears for a while and the WW/JMW divisions get along without him. You can be a very highly rated WW or JMW and never get a fight against Mayweather.

On the other hand The Klitschkos ARE the heavyweight division - if you want a decent paycheck or any recognition as a top heavyweight then you must go through them.

If Mayweather retired tomorrow it'd make no real difference to the WW or JMW divisions - in fact it might encourage the best to fight eachother rather than managing their risk for a chance to win the Mayweather lottery. If both Klitschkos retired the division would be blown wide open.

It wasn't meant as an insult against them.

I am still not convinced of Fury, but this guy improved so much. He was a chicken but always had attacks when you've never expekted. Seth Mitchell reminds of Mike Tyson. I also rate Pulev better than Helenius. But don't understand me wrong, Pulev and Helenius are still solid opponents who can surprise. Though I rate Mitchell, Fury and Povetkin with more chances against the brothers and especially Vitali now because of the age.

I can tell you that the name "Mayweather" says nothing to the general/household public in a great part of the world that's not USA. Excluding boxing fans, of course, who are in the know, but then they know guys like Robbie Peden too, so it's only natural.

That's why your comment about Klitshko building "their little empire in Germany" has cought my attention. Belittleing their celebrity status on the world level is just silly.

I think you read too much into it. It wasn't meant to belittle anyone.

The Klitschkos own all the belts, get fights on their terms, can sell out arenas right across Europe and are proper celebrities. That is what I meant by empire.

Mayweather is someone who fights once a year for a **** ton of money. That's not an empire.

I'm not a K2 hater but if the sanctioning bodies will do nothing, I will stop watching this **** division.
And right now it could be a pretty attractive category. Imagine Seth Mitchell vs Wladimir in the US.

Dude, there are thousands, literally thousands of people who think Seth Mitchell is a bum and Klitschko should burn in hell if he fights him now. So chill really.

OK, that's cleared. Perhaps I tend to be a little over defensive lately

Keep protecting boxers in Germany and your school will lose all the credibility.
Wladimir is nowhere Floyd Mayweather the best boxer in the world.
Money met: Castillo, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto.
Wladimir would sell maximum 6k tickets in the US against Thompson.
And this is because he has a name. While Money is top 5 all time in his division(s).

Sorry, but I would pay only once for an easy fight. Not three times! I'm not that stupid. Charr and Wach were not even top 20 ranked. Thompson is a fake #10.

I'm a Heavyweight fan, the K2 are alright. The lower ranked guys need to fight far more frequently.

Charr and Wach are/were fighting different people.
Thompson, I believe, was a mandatory. I kind of enjoyed their second fight, tbh. Wladimir sort of rehabbed his less then stellar performance vs Thomspon in their initial bout.
