    Let me assist you:

Schmeling is most known for :

    1. KOing Joe Louis

    2. Being KO'd by Joe Louis

    3. Being proped up by the Nazis as a symbol of white supremacy

    4. Not wanting to be assoc. with the Nazis

    5. Financially helping an old, destitute Joe Louis

    6. Losing to Max Baer in a German vs. Jewish fight

No, Max stood right alongside Hitler, because if he didn't he'd have been killed on the spot. Anyone would have done the same. He didn't want that distinction because he wasn't a racist himself, he was a fighter. He never wanted that assciation & I clearly said so in my very first post on that topic. A post which you quoted.................:rofl How you missed that I have no idea but just admit that you missed it & we can move on./

Okay. I know the history well because I actually studied it for a school project. I'm sorry for calling you stupid too, it's just that I put that in my first post on purpose because I don't want anyone reading it to think Max was a bad guy. He clearly was a good person & a good fighter.

Now that we're being honest, I think Toney is a great boxer with amazing skills that just didn't translate well at HW.

Also, Sam Peter is a good overall boxer himself. He has a good jab when he isn't headhunting. That helped him beat Toney, espcially in the second fight.

You must be blind if you think Sam Peter is a good overall boxer. Also Toney, while being shot and fat, won the first fight IMO.

I assure you I'm not blind. I'm 45 years old & have been watching boxing since I was about 5. I have boxed and met many in the sport.

Who's fault is it that Toney is too fat? Certainly not Peter's..............

I don't think calling a boxer like Peter, who won the WBC belt, "good" is wrong at all. He has great power & a good jab to set that power up. His ring intel. isn't very good at all if anything.............when he gets frustrated he tends to swing for the fences & this isn't Baseball so he ends up getting caught coming in.

Of course it isn't Peter's fault.

How did you score the first fight?

Very close. I don't remember exactly. I did edge it for Peter because he was the busier fighter if I remember correctly, he also initiated most of the action by coming forward. The second fight was a clear Peter victory.

Jeremy Williams wasn't a world beater but he was a decent boxer. That KO alone shows he has power to spare. I didn't say it was Foreman-like..............:yep

His KO of Oleg was also pretty impressive, although Maskaev was old & shot by then.
