We will relate every belt holder to them and talk about how either Klitsckho would have destroyed said belt holder.

It will be some time until such quality champions come around again.

Nah but they will be highly respected like lewis and holmes.
I will miss them though, since I hate bums trading belts and people acting like the klitschko's were lucky cause he would ktfo 1.

    With boxing you can never tell, another dominent figure or figures may emerge;

    60's - Liston/Ali
    70's - Ali/Frazier/Foreman
    80's - Holmes/Tyson
    90's - Lennox
    00's - Klitsckho's
    10's - ???????

I highly doubt that. But then again, the up and coming generation of heavyweights arent exactly setting the world alight

    Exactly.

Thread starter may be right, but then again someone may come along who is the best ever and we'd all be talking about how he would annihilate both brothers.

    You never know.

    Boxing goes in cycles

    70s - Great era
    80s - average
    90s - Great era
    00s - mediocre
    10s - Great era??

"Great era" is entirely subjective. Personally I think every era since boxing has become a GLOBAL sport is a better era than when it was not. The reasons? A vastly larger talent pool worldwide. There is less media attention no doubt, but media attention is really what creates these "great eras", not pure boxing talent.

It's a controversial opinion and I don't expect to garner any support for it here; I'm too used to people truly believing "golden era" HW's are unbeatable simply because they are great talents immortalized by media/historians.
