Just like Lennox Lewis never did. Mike Tyson is partly to blame. He made it all look too easy. Tyson brought on board the casual boxing fans with little boxing knowledge and short attention span. Most one time Tyson fans are probably now big time MMA and UFC fans. Sounds harsh I know but I think it is true.

I quit watching heavyweight boxing in the early 80s. Never was a Tyson fan, although I do give him credit for, while being a limited fighter of height and skill, he did make his mark in boxing.

Now back to the Klitschkos. When I ask people who their favorite heavyweights are. Most still say Tyson or Holyfield. How long has it been since either fighter has been on top? When I ask them what do you think of the Klitschkos? Most say, who? These same fans can name the top 50 fighters from all the way down to featherweight upto middleweight. Some even know who the top light heavys are. Forget cruiser weight though. No one knows that.

Back years ago, everyone, boxing fan or not, knew who Ali, Foreman and Frazier were. They were on every magazine, newspaper and TV sports and talk show. Now most people don't know because they aren't being told. People only care when they are made aware.

Can you provide some links with stats that prove you're being truthful?

It's BS. Ali and Louis are still more or less universally recognized as the two "greatest", depending on personal preference.

And regarding the thread topic, I guess that all depends on one's definition of "world wide recognition". Some may argue they have already long achieved this.

So no links from other countries? Come on, there's gotta be something if the rest of the world is saying it. Me thinks you're making things up son.

Vitali and Vlad are known all over the world. They give interviews in, at least, four different languages...............The American boxing media has been lying about the Klitschkos for many years now. I remember well, watching a Klitschko fight and reading hearing outright lies about them by American media. I saw Holyfield lose his last fight at "The Greenbrier", it was sad, Tank kicked his arse badly, Holyfield quit in his corner, but they called it a tech draw. Holy quit. Lous was knocked out by Marciano not to mention the German, don't want to mention his name.................

What exactly are they lying about? I haven't seen anyone in the American media call them exciting....now that would be a lie!

Wlad isn't even close to touching Louis' record. 12 tears and 25 defenses as the lineal and undisputed champion. Wlad needs about 18 more defenses and it would stll be disputed as long as big bro holds the last paper title.

Oh, and Galento was a top 10 fighter and beat top 10 fighters. That more than can be said for Sanders and Puritty, isn't it?

Louis got knocked out by a fighter who only weighed 185 lbs., and was only 5 feet 10 inches tall, not to mention the German............

You forgot to answer the question above. Oh, and Marciano and Schmeling are seen as ATG's. Do you think Puritty, Sanders or Brewster will ever be in that category? :yep

So Louis and Marciano beating ATG'S, plus contenders who had fought plenty of other contenders plus were (on the whole) more skilled, proves that the unskilled fighters today who refuse to fight each other are the better era?

Lol, only on planet Klit!
