7 years ago Vitali would win 100%, now I give him a 60% chance.

Oh, I was just wondering cause I seen an interview awhile back with both Wlad and Vitali. Where Wlad was saying he thinks his brother was the better fighter, but that was back in 04 I believe.

And we did spar before, but with age we’re getting so competitive that our sparring sessions were going to, going to be very emotional and all the time one of us—mostly me (laughs)—was getting hurt. So after I break my leg could you imagine how crazy the sparring was that I had to break my leg. We just decided we will never spar with each other because we’re just too competitive and too emotional and we’re getting heavier, stronger, so why we should eliminate each other? That’s why we stopped to spar with each other.

    Wlad would win.

Vitali is to slow for Wlad.

Wlad by wide UD or TKO.

I think Vitali is tougher by far, but I fancy Wlad IF his chin stands up. It's a big if. I'd make it 55-45 in Wlads favour.

Vitali's "lean back" defence, i've only seen not work great once, against Lewis - as he's the only guy that's been big enough, strong enough and good enough to get close often enough to land frequently - and with power.

I think if wlad fights the way he's fought lately, safety first jabbing etc - I think he loses (as I think Lewis would have if Steward hadn't told him to just fight, not box).

He's the only guy right now I think that has the size and strength to Vitaly like that. question is if he could stand up to what Vitaly would be firing back.

Wlads movement is too much for Vitali. Wlad is faster, more powerful, has better footwork, and a better jab. Vitali is great at what he does... but he loses the advantages against Wlad that he holds over his other opponents. Vitali relies on timing, and his very good reflexes while leaning away from the punches coming at him. This would get him in big trouble against Wlad... who really doesn't have to punch up at him.... and is a much better technical boxer.

I would bet on Vitali, but that fight is moot. They will never fight each other, so I rank Vitali and Vlad equal.

Yeah, it's a recent interview. You heard it from the mouth of Wlad, his brother is the better fighter. Which is something I said since 03, and still believe that today.
