Bottom line, you don't believe in the heavyweight divison. You believe that there should be a separate divison for heavies and superheavies. Chambers was a number one contender and Wlad dominated him. Other apparently dominant heavies had more than there fair share of fights that they should have won by Kayo but did not. Let's take Lewis, for example. Zeilo (sp) Marovich was certainly no better than Chambers...Holyfield had been knocked out in the past and we got two boring decision. Yet Lewise was seldom criticised for a patient slow style. Yes, I agree, he wasn't as cautious as Wlad. But he was cautious.

He's a very good boxer. Chris Byrd went twelve rounds with Tua (the second fight) and he won. Now, Tua was arguably the hardest hitter in the division. Honesly, your argument doesn't hold water.

i have no prob with chambers weighing what he did, it was more of a point that he should have took care of him quicker.
yeah u point out lewis with that horrible marovich....but who else? and Mav wasnt out weighed by 35 pounds....and 5 inches shorter
wlad has done this with barney rubble ibragimov, thompson is no world beater and he went 11, chagaev is a small heavyweight, undefeated but no one will ever mention the guys name once he retires because hes not done jackhis whole career.
as for holyfield...he had been stopped 1 time at that point . hardly a ***** in lewis armor for not being able to stop a guy who has been known for his granite chin. eddie chambers is no holyfield i can promise you...bad example.

Haye took 9 rounds to get rid of Ruiz, before his team threw in the towel. I thought Haye would get rid of him in 5, no more. But, it doesn't always turn out that way. It all depends on the way the other fighter chooses to fight. Chambers was trying to survive against Wlad, just the way Kevin Johnson was trying to survive against Vitali. Ruiz refused to give up.

Ruiz' chin has been damn good since being brutally knocked out against Tua back in 96'. Noone can say he hasn't fought some of the best competition over the last 10 years or so of any current heavyweight, aside from Holyfield. I personally though Haye would win by decision, I was in shock when he dropped Ruiz with that picture perfect straight right hand in the first round.

I personally thought Wlad would finish Chambers around the 9th round, didn't really think it would take until the last 10 seconds of the 12th round for him to do it. I guess often times we expect so much more from Wlad because of all the physical gifts and huge size advantage he always has over his oppenents.

If Wlad took 9 rounds to take out John Ruiz, this message board would have exploded due to the amount of hate posts submitted within 2 minutes of the fight. David Haye is crowned as the new version of Ali.

Ruiz's chin hasn't been damn good. He has simply mastered the art of "not fighting" since that fight. Ruiz actually opened up against Haye and fought. I never would have thought that Ruiz could take that many of Haye's punches. I am starting to think that maybe he doesn't hit as hard as people think he does. Although it could possibly be his accuracy... or the fact that he was telegraphing his punches so much.

Wlad receives heat due to his past, the division itself, and his uber-boring style. The past shows that he can be stopped by lesser competition with punching power that are willing to come after him, Sanders in particular exposed this. Yet few Wlad opponents are punchers and nobody has been willing to adopt this strategy since then. This is because the division is terrible, there just aren't many fighters with the heart to come after Wlad. And because the division is terrible, Wlad beating two top five Heavyweights doesn't mean much, because there are basically only three meaningful fights for him in the division at present, one with his brother(won't happen), Haye, and Povetkin. Lastly, Wlad's style is throughly unimpressive/boring against fighters he should be taking out in a minimum of five rounds.
