Actually, it is the other way around. Valuev didn't fight him as required and got his title through a bizarre decision in WBA boardroom.
Jesus. I'm not Wlad, I don't care which way round fighters names go. I don't think it was a bizarre decision, I think it was the right decision. What I do think is bizarre is the WBA lets this farce continue with Chagaev, and the country involved makes the decision on whether or not he can fight with hepatitis. Personally, I think they should just make a decision. Fighters with Hep B are in or out, regardless of where they fight, like HIV. (and no, I'm not saying they're as bad, just they are a disease carried in the blood, and transmitted through similar methods).
You are misinformed. "During the hearing, the Finnish Federation explained that they have not prohibited the fight, but wanted Nikolay Valuevs team to agree to a passive protective inoculation within 24 hours of the fight. A decision from Valuev was not communicated, the statement said."
Did they fight? Was it because of hepatitis? I think the answers are No. Yes. Please tell me where i"m wrong.
Where did you read that? In finnish media this was explained that a) Chagaev and Universum had a medical report in which there was no signs of hepatitis b) Finnish doctors took another blood sample and found hepatitis c) Valuev said no d) Chagaev insisted that he didn´t have hepatitis = fight went to the toilet
The answer is really simple and has nothing to do with hepatitis. They did not fight because Valuev did not want to fight him.
You posted a link to an article that said it was entirely about hepatitis? Thanks for backing up my point and destroying your own... Ok, so after THREE attempted fights, it doesn't go through, and they make him champion in recess. (**** title, but OK.). One of course, being due to hepatitis, which you said it had nothing to with. So, again -for the SECOND time there is an issue with hepatitis. Valuev, with **** all notice - not weeks to think about it - was given an option to fight, after being innoculated. I don't know about you, but that certainly isn't enough time for me to make a decision like that. Then a statement from Chag's team saying it's not infectious. So, Chag's own doctors (nothing like an unbiased opinion) say he's fine. Well, OK then.
Klitschkos are cleaning out the heavyweight division, the fight the very best. Haye runs his mouth and fights the worst.
I dont really have a problem with the Klitschkos. I just find them boring to watch. I do appreciate what they have done though. My main problem is with a lot of their fans (the subject of this thread) who make some frankly, outlandish claims about the Klits.
