Ah you're coming from a money point of view, i'm coming from a boxing point of view. Wlad - adamek would be bigger because it's poland's best fighter taking on the world's best fighter. I have no idea about money. Anyways you dismiss the k fight as never gonna happen, chances are haye and adamek is never gonna happen either.
70000 in poland 57000 in germany thats for there next fights there really killing HW boxing? your stupid
If Wlads knock outs ain't vicious I don't know what is. Chambers was a dead fish and Byrd looked like he had been attacked by a mad pit bull.
Wlad vs Haye is bigger than Vitali vs Haye because Vitaly can't punsh hard no more. Wlad, on the other hand, has power that is on a ATG-level. And why would a possible bout involving Wlad be bigger?
Jack stop changing your premise!! A couple of posts before this you're talking about popularity, mentioning Dempsey and Marciano and then two post later you're saying it's more important that Haye gets a lot of UK PPV rather than having fights sold to a MASSIVE worldwide audience. I mean your posts are usually filled with myth (usually a direct quote from Haye/Booth), speculation or just your personal opinion, that you TRY to present as fact, but at least they generally follow a certain kind of logic. Now you're being plainly silly. If Haye was REALLY popular as you're initially trying to state, then he'd have a big worldwide audience. He simply does not. He sells a lot of UK PPV. He's been shown in Germany due to the Sauderland connection and I believe is shown via SKY in Australia and NZ. That isn't a hugely popular no matter how you try to spin it. I also can't believe you're still stating your silly opinion that HBO want Haye to dominate the division. This is based on the fact they've picked up on exactly how many of his fights in the past? That's right....ZERO!! Haye v Valuev was a big event in the UK, but it didn't even sell out the arena in Germany. the attendance was 10,000 in a 16,000 seat arena. Once again, a big local(UK) event. Did anyone outside the UK do anything but giggle at Haye v Harrison being presented as a serious spectacle? Didn't think so, once again a big local event. You're switching your point from popularity, which is how many people view the fight and want to, to economics, using the rip off of PPV, for example Haye v Harrison, to illustrate your point and it's making you look kind of silly. Wlad v Adamek would be huge in many countries, just because it wouldn't be in your neck of the woods doesn't mean that it's not. Just to illustrate the event point and audience popularity 'HBO Sports President Ross Greenburg calls the expansion of pay-per-view "the biggest economic issue in boxing" and says: "I can't tell you that pay-per-view helps the sport because it doesn't. It hurts the sport because it narrows our audience, but it's a fact of life."' Narrowing audience doesn't increase popularity or the draw of an event, sorry to have to point it out to you.
We are living in the Klitschko era ****ing deal with it haha, like it or ignore or take the ****, but it was theres to do with what they liked, we are just travellers passing through
great post! I didn't know haye/Valuev only sold 10,000 tickets!!! If you lived in the U.K you would get why Jack is such a biased *****, the boxing media act like the world revolves around Britain. The ONLY reason Haye gets all the press he does over here is cause he's a brit. It's simple.
They insure there's interest in heavyweight boxing in at least one part of the world. The division was really in the gutter from 2003-2006 when the main guys were Chris Byrd, James Toney, John Ruiz, Hasim Rahman and Lamon Brewster who all did their best to avoid fights with each other.
