The Klitschkos are NOT World Champions. They are Titleholders.

    Wlad Klitschko destroyed the hapless Chris Byrd for the IBF strap. Is there anyone here who actually considered Chris Byrd THEE Legitimate World Champion? Then Wlad slapped his way, and in one of the most cowardly, cautious and defensive and uninspiring Title wins in WBO History, he outpointed Sultan Ibragimov for the WBO strap. I'm not sure where he picked up the IBO Title, which is about as meaningful as the IWGP "World" Heavyweight Championship now carried by Samoa Joe on TNA, but he now carries that as well. His Big Brother/Protector Vitali now has a meaningless WBC Strap that he won from Sam Peter of all people.

    WE HAVE NO WORLD CHAMPION AT HEAVYWEIGHT.

    Ruslan Chagaev and Andre the Giant both have about 3 versions of the WBA "Championship" and NOBODY has the RING Belt, determining True World Champion Status, regardless of it's "Buffalo Bill" like owner.

    Until Waldo and Vitalless fight each other to Unify, and then fight the WBA Titleholder for World Dominance, and the RING awards someone that belt, the Klit Bros. are TITLEHOLDERS.

    That is all kind standard knowledge really.Since Lennox retired there han't been a champ or you might consider Vitali having a short reign after.
    And Wlad picked up the IBO from Byrd aswell,not that it matters.

    I loved to hate Lennox, but in Retrospect, he was ALL World Champion, ALL MAN and a Bad Mother****er, in a Rastafarian Drug Lord kind of way. A chess player that could have easily been an assassin. A Cerebral Bad Ass, and as legit as they come. He is easily top 10 of any and all GOAT lists, and both Klits couldnt carry his ****in' jockstrap and you can quote me on that.

    Funny enough I considered him the heir apparent until his brother came on the scene again. Between them I don't think one is necessarly better than the other, and if I had to pick between the two, I'd probably go with Vitali. So in my eyes, his brothers return has clouded the issue of who the true champ is.

    And if we're referencing Lewis, neither is in his league.

    Mr. Prescott, you are speaking to a frustration that we as boxing fans all share. But you have to remember that there is not ever going to be a "champion" in the sense that you say again. The organizations and promotors will not allow it. Consequently, we have to make do.

    Do you think Larry Holmes was a true champion, then? How about Bowe after he through a title in the trash rather then face the number 1 contender?

    You remind me of Jessica Simpson, when she watches Romo, wearing his jersey, and cheering on her man. Do you have a Wlad jersey to wear when he fights, or do you just watch it sans clothing?

    PS. Larry was not only THEE World Champion, but is a HOFamer, and an ATG. Top 4 in my list, and Wlad and Vitali combined could maybe carry loose pubic hairs from his jockstrap. The DNA in those pubes have more talent than both those overrated Ukranians COMBINED.

    I agree, they are not undisputed, or legit champions, neither of em. Not until they either fight each other, or one ****s off (probably Vitali) and lets the other clean up. That includes fight Valyooev.

    This thread is just pure ****-stirring. If you don't consider either of the Klitschko's as THE legitimate champion, then why don't you just say so? I don't either tbh although they are clearly the best two guys out there (there is a need to unify).

    Who really cares for that biased American mag's paper belt anyway!!!

    We all know that most American fighters are overrated anyway! They cant hold a candle to the counterparts of the countries of the former soviet union.
