I think Wlad is a world champion ... he has 1/2 of the straps out there ... his brother has the other one ... only out there with a title that doesn't have the last name Klitschko is Valuev and i'm sure that Vitali will make sure that he gets taken out.

I generally do NOT like to jump the gun, but, I think the "K" brothers are damn good at what they do.......... In the end, I think they'll play out as greats....... I like Vitali and Wlad....... Cheers.....:bbb

Your characterization of Lennox is reasonable and I largely agree with it.

Main difference is I was a fan when he was actually fighting.

He's 3 or 4 in my alltime list.

Neither Klitschko is on that list.

All that said, the Klitschkos are at the top of the heavyweight heap right now.

1 and 2 or 2 and 1. Take your pick.

They are the best, they have the belts, so until someone beats them, they share the championship.

Nonsense. So... every time that Vitali retires for 4-5 years, he can come back and have one fight against a guy that Wlad already beat and be considered equal champion?

I really like Vitali, and he is the WBC Champion, which counts for something. However, the WBC Title is completely worthless right now as far as considering the true Champ of the division, and so is the WBA title. We as fans need to stop playing into these pathetic organizations which are trying to put a stranglehold on the sport. Wlad is the only unified Champ... but more than that... he is the TRUE champ. He beat top ranked Peter to get a shot at the #1 ranked ring mag fighter Chris Byrd... Knocked him out, knocked out a couple more top contenders.... unified with the undefeated WBO Champ... and continued to clean house on the division. Nobody near the top of the heavyweight division has a resume, especially a recent resume that is even close to Wlad's. Can you imagine the hype that would be behind David Haye right now if he had done what Wlad has done?:admin David Haye knocks out an old Monte Barrett and gets hoisted up to the gods. Can you imagine the hype that he would have if he beat the undefeated Sam Peter, knocked out ring mag #1 and IBF champ Byrd, knocked out the undefeated Calvin Brock, knocked out mandatory Ray Austin, knocked out Lamon Brewster, unified titles with the undefeated Sultan Ibragimov, knocked out Tony Thompson, and then knocked out Hasim Rahman whow as a late replacement for the undefeated Povetkin? It is amazing how much Wlad has done recently, and people give him no respect for it. Vitali has had one fight in almost 5 years, against a guy that Wlad already beat. Chagaev and Valuev are basically doing absolutely nothing to be called Champions. WLAD IS THE TRUE CHAMP.

    That doesn't make any sense.

JP says that Larry was THEE World Champion (when he never unified), but calls the Klitschkos titleholders, not World Champions.

Can you elaborate on this JP?

BTW Barry Sanders was a better back then Jim Brown.

Isn't that the same worthless junk that Larry Holmes used to defend as a beltholder.

That's funny that you name James Toney, and then said that. You do realize that James Toney has never won ANY belt in his entire career, other than the IBF title... don't you? So, James Toney has never won a meaningful title? I am glad that you pointed that out, and I will make a note that you think James Toney has never won anything other than worthless junk... since that is the only recognized title that he has ever held.

I will also note that you think Larry Holmes held nothing but worthless junk since 1984. He must not have been the real champ from that moment forward. Then again... he never unified titles at all, so I guess by your book he wasn't a real world Champ either. However, I bet you act like beating the old shell of Ali made him true champ.
