The point sticks though. Did Mayweather & Pacman also clean out WW? You can't argue that *TWO* fighters ever cleaned out a division. This privilege always belongs to just one fighter, not two. The K brothers - and I am saying this as a fan - will never be credited for cleaning out the division simply because they're two fighters, not one. Not their fault, just a fact.
Holyfield and lewis cleaned out the division in the 90's... Holmes and tyson in the 80's... Ali and foreman in the 70's... Liston and clay in the 60's... Marciano and walcott in the 50's... Louis in the 40's... Golden era of greats in the 30's with max and louis being the standouts... Dempsey and wills in the 20's... Langford and johnson in the 10's... Going back to the turn of the century you can combine two fighters to eclipse an era and to be honest if we were going to do the same for the 2000's the two names would certainly be lewis and wlad and that can't really be denied imo.
Hahah. Someone said Tyson cleaned out the division. Tyson had a prime of 3 years according to his fans. He wasn't a great fighter and lost to any "real" fighter he fought, not to mention numerous tomato cans.
Those were the old days, they got rid of the rabbit punch, plus his clinching techniques you see here.:-(
