Yeah, he ate some good shots, but he was definitely winning the fight, clearly. Outboxed by Sam? ....:verysad
??????????? Helenius was boxing the **** out of Sam Peter, a complete shutout before knocking him out. Watch the fight before you comment.
Both Klit bros always train very hard with great dedication & they deserve more credit for it. Vitali is nearly 40, but he still has great chin, workrate & stamina, plus good power, so who knows how long he can keep dominating opponents. Maybe VK will retire at age 45, still holding his WBC title, & not having lost since '03 against Lewis. As for Wlad, i think he has less time left, even though he's 5 years younger. In 3 years time, by age 38, despite still training to the max, his speed, reflexes & stamina may drop to a level which leave him vulnerable to losing to tough & brave, but limited big punchers. Do you agree Mendoza?
How many more fights for Vitali? There are two ways to look at it. I would guess 2 or 3 as Vitali is older and might want to go into business or Politcs. Back to business...Vitali makes at least 8 million a match, and for the most part the matches cause him little damage. A business man would box on! Adamek should make Vitali work some, but the WBC mandatories could be vs. Non top ten opponents. I think Vitali will know when its time to retire. Wlad I think is good for at least another three years. I don't think limited punchers much shorter than Wlad will beat him. However one with an iron will and chin might.
Solid post as usual but to be honest one of the drawbacks from Wlad and Vitaly holding the belts is; and you can call me old fashioned, I want 1 Heavyweight Champion and personally I'd rather it be Wlad. So I'm hoping that Vitaly retires or is beaten by Adamek so that there can be full unity.
Dear MrMagic kind regards I agree with everything that you said, especially about Vitali. Dr Ironfist is a real competitor and worthy champion who will be a hard man to beat. yours thankfully John
Dear Friends kind regards I recall years when Golota returned how I reckoned he had a chance against Vitali because he could craftily stop him on cuts like Lennox did. However the truth is that Vitali would have blasted out Golota and has been like an unstoppable train ever since (bar the hiatus). I am a fan of Vitali and hope that he remains a champion because he is someone to believe in and boxing needs that right now. yours thankfully John
