Dude is probably white. People just have selective memory, pretending the HW division was always bursting with active talent during their favorite fighter's reigns. Just a really weak way to discredit a Champion...well during his reign, such and such was ranked...oh **** off.
And
Samuel Peter is hardly the worse fighter to find his way in a top 3 Ranking.

Tommy Jackson was much much worse and he briefly grabbed a #1 ranking....no skills, no power, just really durable when he wasn't tripping over his own feet.

Did he hold a title like Peter ***? No, he was ranked high and got KTFO and was never seen again, Peter put Wlad on his ass 3 times, became WBC champ, fought Vitali and challenged Wlad again. Peter was a much bigger force in today's division than Williams was in the 80s, suck on that, truth hurts, don't it.

Both those guys were probably better than Peter, and both were dismissed, neither became Champ, Peter did, probably the worst WBC HW champ ever.

-Peter was a top 10 fighter from 2005-2009. Peak Ranking #2 (1 year) Top 10 Record: 3-3
-Carl Williams was a top 10 regular from 85-91. Peak Ranking #2 (1 year) Top 10 Record 0-4.

You could actually use these numbers to argue the 2000s as being a stronger era, since Peter got booted from the rankings with just two losses to top guys, while Williams hung around without doing anything of note until new talent finally pushed him out in the early 90s. I personally don't think it means ****, it happens.

And your changing the criteria as you go. Yes, Peter won a major title..so?

-No, they most certainly were not, and Peter wasn't dismissed after his losses to Vitali and Chambers? Jackson dismissed? lol, you really don't know what your talking about do you? Despite losing key matches to Valdez and Slade, The media loved the guy and kept pushing him into the title scene with ugly punch output wins over washed up and injured contenders.

-Jackson and Grant fought Patterson and Lewis for the undisputed title. Peter fought Oleg for an alphabet title but lost to real Champion Wlad. Surely, you are not a casual fan who can tell the difference.
