hmmm wonder why vitali' fight was so highly rated...was it because they were cheerin the ukranian or the mexican american, one of the largest ethnic groups in the us and u say i dont no wat im talkin bout. Yeh and if u read my post i sed they were big in GERMANY BUT WAT BOUT THE US? Wlad-chagaev bet that did great numbers . ill give u one fing haye isnt proven yet, but in a year i bet he is more recognisable than wladimir, ill give vitali some props 4 fightin lennox and havin some decent scraps but he is hardly mr charisma is he? Face it wat the klits are dong now, thats there max, haye has 3 fights at heavy his potential is about 10x of theres

The potential to make big cash with Haye is obviously there, please accept that King, Shaefer and Sauerland know more than you on these matters.:deal

Arena ticket sales are what you seem to be basing your argument on,, did
    you forget about PPV's:patsch
I suggest you check the Haye v Valuev PPV figures,, i think you'll find it did quite well for a Valuev fight

You may think you know a thing or two about punch resistance but you obviously know little else :rasta

Rico Spagafora: I did your homework for you

800,000+ Sky box Office PPvs (same as level as Hattons biggest fights)
40.5% share on German tv = peaked at 8.5 million viewers.

Is that Ok for you ?

You don't have to give me anything. You're just wrong. And the reason you're wrong is simple...in spite of what you say about the Arreola fight only being popular because a Mexican American was involved. Well...Didn't HBO just pick up Vitali vs. Johnson? Hmmmmmmm? Now, Johnson is a nobody. This fight is falls entirely on the shoulders of Vitali. And if HBO thinks Vitali can carry a fight...well, I'm sure they know a hell of a lot more than you about boxing ratings.

see i try and give u sum credit then u go bak to actin like a clown. so johnsons a nobody, so johnsons last fite wasnt on hbo? so johnsons not american? Hbo's not an american channel is it :rofl They no more about boxing THAN YOU and are takin a calculated gamble to see if they can get an american champion cheaply or at least hope he puts up a gd fite. yeh vitali will have his band of loyals but that damn sure aint the reason there puttin this fight on hbo. O and if Haye has no potential to make 10x more than the klits in the US wats golden boy and don king doing around him  o yeh cos u know more than them of course :yep

Yes isn't Sky PPV about £14.95? Here in the states PPV is 50.00. 800k buys does not generate NEAR the money in the UK as it does in the States.

Have you checked the Klitschko's ratings on German TV? The Wlad/Chagaev fight had a 60% share on German TV I believe. It goes on and on. As of right now Haye is a draw (not even really) in the UK.

The next time he gets on HBO it will be his first. The Klitschko's have been on HBO over 25 times combined maybe more.

See where I am going with this?

Haye and Valuev had to fight in an 8,000 seat arena where the Klitschko's fight in 16,000-20,000 seat arenas that are sold out. They have also fought in the States multiple times on TV. How many times has Haye done this?

    bkamins:

these figures are for you also

Haye Valuev 800,000+ Sky Box office PPVs (same as hattons biggest fights) = £14m+ in revenue in UK

40.5% share of german Tv = peaked at 8.5 million viewers

Wlad sold out a 60k arena as he was sheduled to fight Haye, this arena would not have been booked had it been originally sheduled for Chagaev.
    please accept this

Well to be honest the Klits should thank Haye. For making everyone realise just how exciting their fights are.

    It was £17.95 I believe

Firstly you were saying Haye is no draw?
Now you seem to back tracking trying to compare him to more established fighters,,
He did £14,360,000 in PPvs against Valuev!!

He is already a draw and potentially he could be a bigger draw than the Klits this is why the big promoters are queuing up:deal

    Can you accept this????
