Also when one man beats another in an elimination for the mandatory position.

    Punches are legal in boxing.

The drama is because it was a come from behind stoppage in the hw division and **** like that sells.

Really? All punches are legal? Look at Cunningham vs Ross - Cunningham won by TKO. Decisions like these are ruining boxing.

Even the one's I picked him to lose, he's 40/60 minimum.

Very few hw's in history match up as favourably in a widescale comparison like that. Maybe only louis, ali, liston, tyson, holmes and lewis match up as good as he does.

That's top 7 h2h. Considering how many heavyweights have fought that's top 0.001% or less. Amazing achievement for a man who ended 2004 as a punchline joke.

What is your problem with wlad? Did he **** you or something?

First you complain about pitting him against tyson, trying to send big brother instead.

Now you say you pick byrd and rahman ahead of him???

    What's wrong with you?

Everlast should be banned in my book. Or at least he should be denied the privilege of putting Ali up as his avatar. God, he's repetitively obnoxious and irrelevant.

I think this is a legitimate thread, but it takes too long to read on my computer because Everlast gums up the works with his multiple repetitive posts (especially here in Africa with our slow internet connection).

I could see both Klits being tough competitors in any era and even champions in several of them, but I can't see them dominating EVERY era.

Of course they would. K2 and Lewis are new generation in the HW Devision!

They were both beaten by lesser fighters, so I don't see them as being unstoppable in every era. Now, I agree that they would have been belt holders in many of them, but I can't see too many periods where either man would go untouched for lengthy period.

nobody is unstoppabl. of course they wouldnt dominate like now, but the same applies for other ex dominant boxers when they were in the same era with the brothers! it would be even harder for them.

I think a valid point has been made.

We can expect success by Wlad or Lewis in any era, but even in their own they got knocked out as prime fighters (rahman and brewster).

that being said, dominate they have, both cleaned out in very impressive fashion.

as dominant champs of their own era I think questions like "how would Wlad or Lewis have done in other era's" are very credible and do genuinely warrant discussion and consideration.

True.. I think Lewis, Wlad, and to a lesser extent Vitali do well in any era.. The question of dominace however leaves a lot to be asked.
