This is how I saw it; many people were saying his power would not be the same at the higher weight; many people also said his speed would not be the same at the higher weight. However, both his speed and power were not worse; if anything Pacman looked even better at the higher weight!
Pac Is like a smaller Hatton, both get wins over the right fighters, had controversial wins when they fight someone fresh. Best wins are over shot fighters too etc. But Hatton Is levels above Dave Diaz and would smash Pac even shot. Pac's not exactly a slickster or very defensive. Hatton's way too big.
in his prime he deffo hit harder then pac but he was on the decline a ways when he faced hatton therefore i feel he couldn't carry the power as far into the fight.yes?
He was far from his peak last time around. He'd never have gotten hit half as much if he was just slightly faded. Anyway, we'll see next time around.
He's P4P#1 regardless, not to forget that he showed some serious improvements in there with his defense, jab and movement. Not going to be ridiculous and say he will dominate Welterweights or middleweights, even Pac his self laughed when he was interviewed after the fight and asked if he'll hit 147. He needs a few more fights in this division before moving up for Hatton, he still has fights with Guzman, BabyBull Diaz or Casamayor before moving up so it's too early to talk about that UNLESS he decides to do it next. I'll stick with Pac by stoppage vs Hatton, as I did even before his fight with Diaz. No it won't be easy of course but he has the tools to do it.
Hatton never had any serious head movement anyway and his ability to take a punch MIGHT be affected after that Mayweather stoppage but we still need a few more fights to find out. The fight with Lazcano doesn't answer it 100%.
He never got hit nearly as much pre Kostya fight as he does now, he did at least have some head movement, now he blocks punches with his face.
I for one was one of the doubters, but this fight proved he still packs these two lethal combinations. I can't wait for him to see against the likes of Campbell, Diaz, Guzman and JMM (again). I still don't think he can handle Hatton's clinching style, though.
