touchy i remember a little ***** called danny rand got all upset because i told him i train fighters so i know better.
Don't love or hate him. His drunken rants are starting to get so off-point and random sounding and extra slow that's it's hard to want to be engaged to whatever he's getting at. I remember someone made a thread recently that thought he needed to be sent out to pasture after the Mosley-Mayweather fight and I had to agree. He can be insightful but he easily just as many wtf moments. I feel like a lot of Brits appreciate him more, maybe... it's sort of like a grass is always greener scenario. I kind of like your British announcers for boxing. Unless it's a British vs American contest for some reason. I can't really say that about many things sports related over their.
Yeah it was funny then as it was now. I remember you saying Floyds pad work was just for show and that it didnt mean anything to training before the Hatton fight. :rofl
Yeah and its also called boxing not knockouts - winky wright Maybe your fighters wouldnt be getting knocked the **** out so much in your fake gym that doesnt exist if you taught them a little boxing.
well that particular padwork was just for show i've seen mayweather do real padwork it was nothing like that. but what would you know, you're a white boy who's never seen a gym before.
west ham abc look it up 200 national champs, 1 olympic gold medalist and future hall of famer nigel benn trained there.
Actually on the undercard of the Hopkins/Pavlik fight, Larry Merchant said that he didn't understand why Pavlik's people were putting him in there with Hopkins at such a young age. So despite your dislike for Merchant, he does know what he is talking and knew beforehand that Pavlik was going to lose to Hopkins.
I dunno how anyone can dislike Larry, he has so many memorable lines. "To say Michael Grant has a glass chin would be an insult to glass" the all time best.
Most of the British announcers are pretty good. Probably better then ours. They are for the most part unbiased. The guy who does ESPN Soccer does most of the major British broadcasts forget his name. However Showtime is good aswell. Al, Gus and Tarver were great during the Super Six. Unbiased, and Gus was far better then Jim Lampley at conveying excitment. And of course Al knows far more about boxing then Merchant.
Muther****er just because they let you carry around the spit buckets like that one eyed freak in Roach's gym doesnt mean you trained Nigel Benn.
you dont want the british commentators believe me! they only do play by plays for the home fighter, the other fighter can be landing a 20 punch combination and it would not be mentioned during hatton vs floyd one of them lost his cool and started shouting on top of his voice because the ref kept breaking up the clinches
