And the funny part about that was about 2 minutes later, Fernando was down 3 more times..............:yep
This isn't ONLY Larry, but I die laughing everytime I hear this exchange.. Let me know if you all remember this exchange.. Tito-Joppy (I think Round 4 about 20 seconds left) - Joppy's getting pounded GF: The referee's really looking good now. (about to stop the fight) LM: Give William Joppy credit, he's standing up to the most deadly puncher in the game. Lamps: All the courage in the world GF: WELL he's not REALLY standing Larry LM: He's wobbling up to him GF: He's...pauuse.............laughter :rofl Everytime I watch that fight, that part has me in stitches...
I always liked one, I wonder if said that on the spur of the moment or did he just think about what was going to say before the match if that happend.:think
I don't know...some of his quotes have to be pre-meditated. They're still funny as hell whether they're pre-meditated or made up on the spot.
Yeah I have to agree with you there, I tthink some of that **** he says comes off the top of his head which is pretty amazing IMO. The one I liked the most was when Larry did an interview with Lewis' after his match with Vitali, Lewis: I just ate Vitali for lunch and bring on his brother, Ill eat him too. Merchant: I dont know Lennox that was a hard meal digest. Watching that live was great, Lennox was pretty pissed during the interview because Larry was complementing Vitali the whole time.
Byrd vs Ibeabuchi. "those punches couldn't take the power away from a mouse" after mayorga vs forrest. "Lets see if he comes in rapping the next time"
If I'm not mistaken I believe during the Vitali/Sanders fight (this would be one of his less creative moments) Larry said, "They're just two whales whaling away at each other."
Come to think of it, is there any sure way of knowing that Merchant will be doing tomorrow's broadcast? :huh
No I don't know how to find out. Just cross your fingers and hope he's there. It's going to be such a good fight, I would hate for it to be ruined by having to listen to Kellerman the whole time. :-(
When sites were reporting on Kellerman's contract upgrading or whatever, they said he would be working this fight I believe. Larry better be ****in' on though.
