Fedor is the HW GOAT for me. I followed him right back in the Pride heyday and he was phenomenal. His level of competition was extremely high (Big Nog, Cro Cop, etc) - better than the UFC HW roster at that time - and he just seemed levels ahead of everybody, genuinely unbeatable. I think mainstream audiences never saw the best of him. He was declining somewhat when he came to the US with all the hype (beating Sylivia and Arlovski) and I think he was done as a top level fighter by the time Werdum caught up with him. And he was never quite the same again. But, at his best, I rate him top, ahead of the likes of Stipe, Ngannou, Couture etc.

@MrPook Although I also consider Fedor to be the GOAT of HW MMA, he doesn't look as athletic and muscular as: Randleman, Filipovic, Ngannou... He looks more like Tyson Fury (but only in appearance).
It´s crazy how crap the current crop of heavyweights is. I don´t think Aspinall is anything special at all, but he is leagues above the rest of the division. Majority of them are just fat slobs, and honestly, any decent Light-Heavyweight would have a good run at the division.
I think Fedor is overrated by most. He was the most advanced MMA fighter in the heavyweight division for his time, but made his name by a beating bunch of fighters that couldn’t go better than .500 against other good fighters. I say fighters, because it’s a stretch to call them martial artists from that era. They were basically a bunch of stacked juiced up strongmen. Let’s not forget he got knocked out 3 fights I. A row in his prime either and people mentioning the current crop of heavyweights being week? Someone like Alexander Volkov (top 5) would beat the living **** out of everyone on Fedor’s resume and probably would do the same Stipe, Ngannou, Velasquez, Fedor, are probably the top 4. Werdum following them closely
