A great career and a great man.

I don't think we'll see his like again.

Sad to see Fedor go but he left us with lots of great moments. Best of luck to him in any and all future endeavors.

  6. GOATS of GOATS, he will be missed, but he went out like a boss and did things his way. Other past champions go out and whimper away, Fedor went out still bright. He is still a 10% owner of a huge promotion, president of Russian MMA, friends with political heavies, a hero in his country, richer than any MMA fighter, and rolling with billionaires.

Not to mention getting beat up 3 fights in a row in his early 30's when still in his peak years :good

I appreciate he is probably the best heavyweight up to this point, but when people continually post "goats of goats" comments it's ridiculous and nuthugging at it's best.

Anyway A Silva and GSP are higher on the all time list.

Fedor a great fighter - yes............ the best in a sport that's less than 20yrs old - maybe

Easily top 3 on my ATG list. Very solid resume but I imagine he'll be bumped out of the top 10 spot before we die. You don't have to stay undefeated for 10 yrs to surpass Fedor. You just have to beat a lot of high quality opponents.

    :good

And you gotta make a few of those high-quality opponents look like rank amateurs. :yep

    :hat

  10. All the while Anderson gets credit for getting embarrased by bums in his Pride days and him his prime. Too bad Anderson doesnt fight the same quality fighters nowdays and only fighters over hyped guys that the UFC hypes up.

Also Anderson and GSP was never dominant in 3 different sports and doesnt have anywhere near the battle numbers as Fedor.

Age isnt the only thing that determines wear and tear. Fedor has had maybe 6 times more overall fights than both GSP and Anderson.

So the UFC isn't giving Anderson Silva decent opponents but the great Russion Sambo association is proof that Fedor is god? Get a grip buddy.

It was a matter of time. Good on him for stringing 3 wins together and retiring on a little high. Must be tough to train when retirement is on your mind. It was also clear that there was nowhere for him to go with all the heavyweight talent in the UFC.

His wife doesn't look too thrilled by his retirement. Probably because she knows that now he will stop training within a year he'll look like Butterbean.

  15. Anderson got beat up and snapped by Pride CANS in his prime, he also fights bigger than most of his opponents and isnt as well rounded a fighter as Fedor, hasnt been champ in different sports, and hasnt been at the top for longer.

    Anderson cant be the GOAT.
