After seeing these big events on PPV and these fights they do face offs and 24/7's for when do they ever materialize into a war

I dont think i have ever ordered a major fight on PPV that was competitive

I was thinking about this the other day and saying how the last time I had a bunch of people over for a ppv and they left happy saying damn that was good was Cotto Marg.

a great fight and PPV but im thinking more of a fight of bigger magnitude than that

like when the number 1 and 2 in the world face off

like the sorts of ppv events manny and floyd are involved in

    Pacquaio/Marquez 2
    Pacquaio/Barrera 2

These were the best high profile fights of recent times where both guys give and take for 12 rounds. The Marquez fight being the ideal as half think one guy won and the other half think the other won.

Of course, the biggest was Tyson/Douglas, but that was a long time ago.

Hatton vs. Mayweather was 10 rounds, and I had a poker party that night.

Everyone left feeling OK about the fight, but it wasn't a WAR.

Was Tyson vs Douglas really a superfight?

Nobody gave Douglas a change to win. Its like calling Wlad vs Chambers a superfight

Pacquiao - Cotto is the closest i can think of , even tho it was only competitive for a while. But it was pretty explosive.

They never become wars because of all of the hype and media looking at you and seeing yourself on tv, you feel the high stakes of the situation and you dont wanna risk anything. result: 2 timid fighters.

or they just get unlucky hyping fights. I wish they promoted MAB Morales or Castillo Corrales on the world level, just so NOBODY missed it and got a great event.
