... Was just short of 11 years ago against David Bostice in April 28th 2000, just 6 weeks after facing Paea Wolfgramm in March 2000. Prior to this, Wlad had a 16 week layoff between the Paea Wolfgramm fight and the previous fight, Lajos Eros, which took place in late 1999.

This was when Wlad was a 22/23 year old prospect and before he won his first world title. Since beating Chris Byrd in 2000, he has fought every 4-6 months, almost like clockwork. As his career has gone on, like most fighters, the gaps between fights have gotten longer.

Wlad also had a 7 month layoff between fighting Chris Byrd and Calvin Brock, one of his better fights, an 8 month layoff between fighting Lamon Brewster and Sultan Ibragimov, and a 9 month layoff for his recent fight with Eddie Chambers.

Perhaps I'm cynical, but does anyone else seriously doubt that Wlad is sincere when he says he'll fight Chisora on April 30th and Haye on July 2nd? Adam Booth and David Haye don't think he's being realistic, but do you?

I certainly wouldn't want to face my biggest test as a professional after only a month long training camp! And besides, where is all the time for promotion and media in this? Usually most fighters have a press tour to build up hype for the fight. When are they gonna squeeze that in? The whole thing doesn't make sense, and to top it all off we have to sight of Wlad Klitschko fighting Derek Chisora, a horrible mismatch where the only interesting thing about the outcome is seeing if Chisora can avoid being seriously hurt/killed against someone in a completely different league to him.

You dont need a long training camp when you stay in the ring and stay busy. What you are saying though does have merit.

I do however think Wlad would pull it off without any real problem. He will likely beat the **** out of Chisora taking very little damage in the process. Guys who stay busy are always the most dangerous.

    Again...

Wlad: "I will fight you in July. "

Haye: "I don't believe you can. I'm done!"

This is really the biggest reach yet. I think Wlad knows his own body and how much time he will need, never have I heard of man refusing to make a fight because he doesn't think his opponent will be ready. Haye and his supporters have no argument.

Bull****, look at my original post, it would be ****ing miraculous if Wlad managed to pull off the two fights in two months. He hasn't been able to do it since he was a 23 year old prospect, there's no way he could do it now.

What will happen is that after he beats Chisora, Wlad will return back to the negotiating table and say "I can't do July 2nd, I need a proper 12 week training camp, can we make the fight in August instead?" of course by that time the european soccer season has started so all the venue's will be impossible to use, and Haye plans to retire in October so if they try and make him fight Wlad in August it means that there will be no Haye - Vitali Klitschko fight in all probability. It's a run-around, all because Wlad insists on this ****ing pointless fight against Chisora.

Cancel the Chisora farce, have a 9-month layoff like he's done in the past, and fight David Haye. He's already got the fight in Germany, which is **** a fight of this magnitude should be in either Madison Square Garden, Las Vegas or perhaps Wembley Stadium, not in some ****ing half-empty deathly silent German stadium with corrupt German referee and the most boring fans in Europe. Just **** Chisora off and get on with the Haye fight.

If Wlad is still willing to honour July 2nd after the Chisora fight I'll be ****ing amazed, it's all just bull****. As soon as the fight is over he'll change his mind and make Haye wait again. He'll ****ing around, god knows why, maybe he's scared, maybe he's stupid, who knows, but it is what it is.

Wlad is doing this so haye doesnt try to the same **** he did last time they had a scheduled fight in april, back out and leave him inactive. if haye pulls out this time wlad has at least one fight in 2011. And chisora hurt wlad, common how you seen wlad fight the last years..

    Exactly.

    Haye's argument is "I won't take the fight because Wlad isn't ready"

I'm sure Wlad can fight again within two months, but I do have a couple of concerns.

Firstly injury, Chisora's bitten a guys ear in the ring before, I have a feeling he could be unstable and frustrated with Wlad getting the better of him, elbows, headbutts, who knows what? Plus even though there's a small chance of a freak injury it could still happen.

Second, If Haye pulls off the miracle I know for a fact any credit due will be wrecked by Klitschko fans claiming Wlad had overtrained.

Wlad should fight Haye, Chisora can wait, the man doesn't need a ****ing tune up fight, he's a top pro, all sharpness can be gained in training camp.

This is what wlad is thinking, first chrisoria is going to go about 7 or 8 rounds, imo i see this guy running an taking it past the 10th.....But here is the catch, wlad not giving hayes any RESPECT, he see hayes chin as his weakness, an see maybe 3 rounds at best four for hayes,,,,an i have to agreee. It is not hayes talent that has wlad cocky, he knows hayes has talent, he just might be the most talented fighter he has faced, but chin wise, with wlad's power an speeed, no this going to be an early night. take this as long camp for wlad not a short one. Plus wlad does not really get hit in fights, nor does he lose rounds, i mean he is going absorb less then 40 punches against chrisora

If Haye and Booth don't think Wlad is realistic why don't they expose Wlad's allegedly lie and ask him to sign the contract for July?

Apparently Wlad was willing to sign but Haye didn't want to risk Wlad fighting an interim bout, knowing that a fluke loss to Chisora by Wlad would derail all hopes for a big money unification fight.

If Wlad was just looking for an excuse and wasn't serious about fighting Haye then this bluff could have easily been called by Haye. Why didn't Haye call Wlad's bluff and instead folded his hand and cried foul? :deal

    Hey, DUMBASS...

By the time July 2nd would roll around, David Haye would have withdrawn from the Klitschko fight twice. And it was still Haye who couldn't put the pen to paper.
