So basically he is stable but unable to come out of the coma. Not so good.

I’ve got a feeling that Adonis might end up in a condition similar to Prichard Colon.

    French-Canadian reporter:

According to the wife of Adonis Stevenson, he showed encouraging signs today. He opened an eye when she spoke to him. His loved ones cling to that hope. Doctors have now reduced sedation. We keep sending them positive waves.

"... opened an eye..." An eye, not eyes — this implicitly confirms (previous twitter reports) that a half of Stevenson body is paralyzed...

Sad situation. Colon has shown some positive signs recently. I sometimes do a search on him. There is no way Stevenson can have a normal life again? It is so shocking how futile it seems at this point.

Never any word on Gutneckht or Blackwell either. No real news usually means no good news in this sort of situation.

I don't know... :dunno Well, at this point it's almost guaranteed that (if he survives) he will be disabled at least to some extent. Maybe severely disabled...

He was allowed to keep the title fighting nobodies 4 years straight from 2014 to 2018. If WBC matched him with proper opposition instead of letting him milk the belt, he'd lose long ago, never end up in this situation.

What a shame. Sometimes you think maybe if they recover in a few days from the coma they will be able to walk out of it fine.. And it never seems to be. I remember back in 1986,, on the undercard of Hagler/Mugabi and Hearns/Shuler what was his name.. you get older and your memory goes. Was it Richie Sandoval? He was taken out on a stretcher, and he turned out ok, although they announced during the fights that he was ok before even Hearns vs. Shuler. So.

You are right. But the key part here is that if... It didn't work out that way for Stevenson.

No you’re right but in the Blackwell scenario it was downright disgusting that he actually came through the aftermath of the Eubank thing albeit finished as a boxer only for two repulsive guys involved in the sport thought it wise to let the kid spar as he was missing it so much, may not of taken much to send him away for good.

Michael Schumacher is another you don’t hear about,my parents have it in writing that if anything like this should happen and there’s no quality of life to turn the life prolonging stuff off and personally I’m ok with this and would wish the same for myself.
Feel bad about seeing a vid of Stevenson sat up on the stretcher as they were carrying him to the ambulance, thought he was ok at the time but clearly he was not.
