Except it was a lead right lead hook because Manny is a southpaw and only because Diaz used no head movement and didnt keep his left high enough
The lunging lead hook is a very dangerous punch to throw. Trainers often encourage you not to leap off your feet like that. You need good timing to pull it off otherwise you'll be met with a big straight cross in mid air. :!:
Pacman was only throwing that right hook because Diaz is a southpaw and he was open for that punch. That puch will probably only work on Diaz.
A southpaw can't throw a leaping left hook ... from that stance it would be considered a looping left hand ... sorta like what Antonio Tarver throws.
Yep, exactly I was gonna say if you aren't quick enough to pull it off I am timing you on your way in and throwing a right cross to your face. I am putting it in the same category as a jab to the body, if you can pull it off then go for it.
Pac only landed the KO blow because Diaz was cut-up and the fight was going to be stopped soon anyhow, and Diaz went for broke and was a beaten fighter... he didn't have the opening until that round. It wasn't a hook though, it was a short straight left... no hook on it, just straight and down to the chin.. only went like 6 inches until contact.
That was a leaping left hook (though, not the most skilled but one of the hardest): This content is protected This content is protected
We're talkin lunging lead hooks here moron, nobody specifically said anything about left hooks. Holy **** you're an idiot.
yup, said lead hook. People are reading left. but seriously, it was a joy to see Pacquiao doing that. I know its because his opponent was a southpaw for once, but still, didn't know he had it in him.
