I didn't even look at this forum for a couple of months and I come back to see that nothing has stopped the Quarry love. So on that note... I wonder who the worst fighters were who could defeat Quarry?

He lost to Ali x2, Frazier x2, Norton, and Chuvalo... all by stoppage. He also lost to Ellis, Machen, and Ron Cranmer (in his last fight). He also fought even 4x... Tony Doyle,Tony Alongi x2, and Patterson.

SO, WHO IS THE LOWEST LEVEL GUY WHO COULD HAVE BEAT A PRIME QUARRY?

How about guys like Tim Witherspoon, Oliver McCall, Ray Mercer, David Tua, Tommy Morrison, Razor Ruddock, Carl "The Truth" Williams, Bert Cooper, Joe Hipp, Butterbean, Peter McNeeley???

I dont like guesing, but quarry was a great contender in a solid era. this translates as being at least solid in ANY era. He only lost to good and the great.

Top fighters know how to get up for key fights and pull out a win against the odds when the chips are down. quarry was one of those fighters and he would always be that in any era.

I think the answer to the question is " quarry would lose only to the same type of fighters who beat him in real life."

I'm thinking someone like a Greg Page, Tim Witherspoon, or possibly, Michael Dokes.

Quarry distinguished himself pretty good...as it's been pointed out, losing to the best...so why is Quarry supposed now to lose to any "least respected fighters"?
So "love" and adulation bestowed on other fighters dosen't get your attention, just that for Quarry?

Chuvalo doesn't get respected much in some circles.

    Vitali Klitschko

Bert Cooper is a slight favorite , if he wasn't cheated vs Holyfield & Moorer he'd have stopped them both , still , i have some respect 4 Quarry , so I m probably underestimating Cooper when I say slight . Supposing no cheats of course .
Oliver McCall something like a 50-50 , just because he wasn't aggressive enough most of the time / not a good finisher , but d lesser Chuvalo & Norton actually did it .
Cornelius Sanders of course , by way of impressive stoppage as usual .
David Tua , and easily .
Bob Cleroux and Ron Stander mustn't b counted out , remember Chuvalo did it .
Henry Cooper in d battle royale of who cuts first , but I admit that I think that Quarry was somewhat better , so Quarry is d slight favorite here , assuming same age 4 both fighters of course .
    Jeremy Williams (?)
    Jesse Fergusson (?)
    Frank Bruno
    Mike Hunter (?)
    James Toney (!)

Chuvalo and Ellis aren't exactly greats, I think allot of similar boxer types could do what Ellis did, the 80s quick jabbers like Thomas, Tubbs, Dokes, Tucker, Douglas, Carl Williams. Maybe a quick slick ex MW like Toney, Jones I'd pick as sure fire favourite, Tunney would beat him, maybe Greb too

Toney would have abused Quarry , about Carl Williams I thought myself , he had a good chance . Pinklon Thomas had a very good chin , but in d 2 fights of him that I saw , it was all that impressed me about him ..
But then Quarry never impressed me either , and I watched more than just 2 of his fights .
And about Douglas I thought myself again but it depends in what mood he is and also Tokyo Douglas is quite respected in here .
BTW / off topic , Tokyo Douglas fought McCall , and didn't beat him , although I don't consider d decision there as 1 of d worst that I ever encountered .

If Quarry gets flash knocked down and loses track of the count while waiting on his knee, no telling who could beat him.

    :D

About d same way he was cheated vs Moorer and Cooper was cheated vs Ali .
Torn glove , this is how Evander got his extra time . There were more cases like this , I often c rewrapping / relacing of d gloves , it became a method 2 buy time when hurt / exhausted . I think even Sanders got it vs Rahman and Puritty , or was it d other way around ? at least 1 of them , many many more enjoyed this cheat .
