A lot depends on what Canelo goes on to do (for both).

I agree with the OP, except that I consider Canello to have lost the first fight, in all but name.

He isn't answering anything if he wins, he is basically avenging a defeat!

For me GGG has beaten every man that stood ib front of him in the pro ring. You cannot do better than that GGG is THE MAN @ 160
As for Canelo, he spoiled his own legacy with the ludicrous handing over the WBC belt rather than defend it saga while still claiming to be 160 lineal champ. Then you get the failed tests which really doprove he was indeed juiced against GGG , GGG won that fight but the Oscar, Bennett, NSAC & Vegas boxing gifted Canelo the draw
No one really believes Sept 15 will be any different & expect corruption to spoil the fight AGAIN!!

A legit Canelo win would obviously boost his legacy tremendously. The fight only really adds to Golovkin’s legacy if: (a) Golovkin wins even more decisively than he did in the first fight and (b) Canelo goes on to do impressive things at 160 though.

I agree @Mendoza, i can't remember the last time i was so excited about a middleweight fight. I am eagerly awaiting this, and i have to idea who will win. I wouldn't be shocked at a GGG stoppage, or a Canelo decision.

GGG has too much of a size advantage.

Canelo is a all talk. He does not fight like the great Mexican fighters of the past.

I think it helps Canelo more than GGG.. Because he has to beat a bigger guy and that will be harder. If he wins he beat the guy who has the advantage to back up GGG and Canelo had to counterpunch and win. Winning by knockout would be most impressive for Canelo.
