I heard alot of legendary stuff about George Foreman. One was that he used 100lbs barbells and punched with them:yikes. Also, he told Johnny Carson he knew he had it to become a good boxer when he once punched a COW and killed him for acting up.I also heard threw the boxing grapevine he once picked up and full grown cow. Weather you into boxing are not those stories are very interesting to say the least.
George is epic but those stories are urban myths I think, what is true tough is that Duran knocked out a horse. Ow and that part of george lifting up a cow I actually saw that pic once.
I heard that foreman killed a cow with a sledge hammer then cut out its heart and made his wife cook it for him. (I was actually told this) Strange that all these rumors seem to involve a cow
Here's the pic of George carrying the cow: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=271206&page=5
That "cow" he is picking up is more of a calve. My dad lifts calves about that size ona regular basis and he is 42 years old. I have seen him carry a 150 pound calve for about half a mile. He didnt want to go get the skid loader to pick it up... He is only about 190-200 pounds so its not out of the question for Foreman to pick up a calve that big. I would say that one on the pic weighs about 300-350 pounds. Heavy for the average man but not for an ox like Foreman.
I've seen video's of him absoutely pulverizing 150lbs heavy bags, heard back in the day a gym owner wanted him arrested for destroying his heavybags.
