Yes he did lose to PBF who was 36 in his 5th weight class. Great post!

Who suffered a bad cut over the eye from a punch?

Who got ripped w/ hellacious hooks and uppercuts and was BADLY hurt in the 10th round?

Who got outpunched in both fights? Oscar even admitted Golovkin landed more shots.

Besides that cut which was caused by a head clash , Canelo barely had a mark on him. Fresh as a daisy whereas Golovkin looked like a car crash victim.
Even Albe knows his guy lost the fight :sisi3:

No sir. A savage right hook put a gash in that eye. And the elasticity in a fighter's skin breaks down over time especially given their profession. Look at Rios and Margarito — earlier in their career, they'd barely bruised or show the effects of combat. Now they start to swell and discolor from just a handful of punches.

I’m a Golovkin fan and I’m still sad about this decision/robbery....

From the 6 round he only got one (7-5 in the first fight). Absolutely ridiculous and totally depressing as I was very excited about this fight.
Trilogy won’t happen earlier than 19 September, DLH just confirmed it.

I’m hurt and hard to deal with it. Call me crybaby.

He's basically occupying a spot one or two places behind Hopkins (for 160, not overall resume). Certain fighters, such as Calzaghe and GGG, accumulate title defenses and then take on bigger challengers later in their career. In Calzaghe's case, his resume was limited but he improved his standing a lot by practically rolling through some good opposition at the tail end of his career.

Golovkin, on the other hand, stepped up eventually but produced neither spectacular nor mediocre results. His tally of 1-1-1 against Canelo and Jacobs is fitting considering that all of those fights can be argued for or against him. There is no punctuation mark on his reign like when Hopkins administered a beatdown on Tito at age 36. With that said, he has a solid place in history and has been better than most middleweight champions. It's pretty clear that the best of the best, like Roy and Ward, would handle him. Someone like Hearns might get flattened though. The one thing that really holds him back is that his head movement is poor and he eats punches flush. Everyrhing else is pretty solid with him.
