    Much worse for Cuban athletes in general. They fight a ton, defect, become pro at an older age. Recipe for disaster.

    I hear you, personally I was never completely sold on Loma. There was always that reservation with him that I didn’t have with a Floyd or a Manny, they were trying to build him up so much based off of his amateur achievements and his very short pro career. His father held him back too long in the amateurs IMO and he’s no good at this weight, he should drop back down his small frame doesn’t support higher weights.

    Yeah, unless you are like that Italian police officer who didn’t want to turn pro and was happy fighting in the Olympics every 4 years then go ahead and have however many amateur fights as you like.

    if you are thinking of turning pro then 100 is probably about right, unless you are a rare breed and knocked everyone out in your first 30 fights
