Round 3; Pace slowing, nice flurry at the end, SC did enough. 10-9 SC, 30-27. First glimpse of round card girl butt, very nice.

 

R4; Big right cuts DL at start of round. Doc sez nope, all over. Ruled a head clash? Fenech says a right hand, I'll change to head clash after the slo-mo, even Jeff agrees after another replay. Official decision 30-28 x2, 30-27 SC, bout stopped on accidental head clash.

 

Flashback July 10, 1998, Mitch O'Hello vs Daniel Rowsell...DR smashes the bigger man in a 1st rd ko. Met Mitch during his weigh in vs Bob Mirovic for Oz title...see hes slated for a comeback next month vs Garth Murray.

No thanks mate, stocked up on choc biscuits from the supermarket before but worryingly, forgot to get actual food.

Andy Raymond hanging **** on RAOs hair, rightly so, ' A cross between Dumb & Dumber (Lloyd Christmas) and Kostya Tszyu'.

1st Rd; BD has speed, working the body. RAO lands nice counter hook. BD much slicker, easy 10-9 to BD.

 

Rd 2; RAO starts better, lands a few, waves BD in. BD finishes with some big body shots, RAO gets a few more in at rounds end. Close round, I'll go BD for the harder body shots, can't see this going the distance. 10-9 BD, 20-18.

 

Rd 3; BD is open for those wild hooks from RAO. And does cop one. BD needs to keep some distance methinks. BD lands 3 right hooks in close. Both landing big shots. RAO down! Up at 8, ref stops it! Big right uppercut/hook, memories of Razor Ruddock vs Dokes. Good fight, 2.33 of rd.3, TKO Billy Dib. 20 fights, 20 wins, 11 by the early route.

 

Sep 25, 1998, Abel Parker vs Gavin Topp Flashback...Is it just me or does Lovemore N'dou sound like a gay Mike Tyson commentating? Shown th e last rd only, bell rings 15 secs early according to Fox timer, Topp wins by ud. Not sure of the significance of this bout but oh well.

Next, Rob Medley vs Ade Alfons 6 rnds

 

Yeah, nice hybrid hook, both were winging at each other before the ko, still not convinced on Dib, defense looks a bit pouros but seems to have some skill there, perhaps a little lacksadasial...but what do I know, I get puffed playing Fight Night3 on PS2.

Interesting to note Alfons has a 4th rd TKO loss to Crazy Kim in 2004, Chocs possible next opponent.

1st rd, holy ****, Medley just keeps getting more ink. Middleweight. Alfons slips 10 secs in. Alfons imitating a Zelenoff heavy bag atm. Somewhere, someones cab is late. RM settling into his groove, easy 10-9 to RM, could be another early finish.

 

2nd Rd; Poor old Alfons boots are falling apart. RM lands nice right hook, slips, sontinues. AA not doing much, RM landing just about at will. 3,4,5 jabs than a hook to the body. Wide 10-9, case could be made for a 10-8 to RM. Just a matter of how much punishment AA can take.

 

3rd rd; Medley lands, ducks, lands, shimmys, lands, flicks out jab repeat and rinse...
AA lands a punch! RM replies with 20 more of his own, though no biggies. Unofficial LeonMcS compubox stats, RM 600 landed, AA about 5, maybe 6. AAs defense is a little better than I'm giving credit for, easy 10-9 RM, 30-27 by mine.

 

4th rd; Jeff & AR are right, RM just can't land his combos. Kd? Missed it but AA has gone down...RM storms in and now landing big blows ...ref stops its, maybe a bit early but AA was doing nothing. 2.43 of rd 4, rsf Rob Medley.
