    Thanks again.

    Was posting the other day about scoring rounds as 10-8. I'm not a fan myself unless there's a KD or point deduction. Think there's too much room for abuse. In favour of more liberal use of 10-10 rounds though, if a round is even it should be scored even - but most judges (particularly US judges) seem to always pick a round winner no matter what!

    Your thoughts Leon, taking into account your scoring and comments in this thread?

    Yeah Paddy, I'm the same, not a big fan of 10-8 rounds without a kd unless its brutally one sided. RM easily took the second round but nowhere near a 10-8 in my book. One of the most excrutiating 10-8 rds in my memory was the last round of Hearns-Leonard II, as a big Hearns fan that left a mark as Tommy copped everything but bravely stayed on his feet.

    Finally some AC/DC as ring entrance music, was getting a bit worried there for a moment. FLP comes out first, no Barry Michael there, Jeff Fenech "Oh, thats a pity!'

    PM comes out to Phil Collins 'In the air tonight' hmmm...

    Rd 1; Close, very close. FLP busier but PM ends it ok, cases fro 10-9 either way or 10-10. I'll wimp out and give it 10-10.

    rd 2; Fenech saying PM needs to throw more, sounds right to. Lots of wrestling and clinches. Close round again, FLP doing more, 10-9 to him, 20-19 FLP.

    I have no affinity to either boxer, but anyone coming out to Phil Collins deserves to get KTFO!

    Rd 3; Scrappy affair, FLP doing more, PM too defensive, lands nice uppercut though. More wrestling, 10-9 FLP, 30-28.

    Dancing girls, highlight so far of this fight.

    Rd 4; PM starts busier, oops, head clash to PM, might be over, nope fight on. Above his right eyebrow, now they're going for it. FLP coming on now, not technically nice but just clubbing away. 10-9 FLP, 40-37.

    Leon, once again you are my hero for posting all of this (just like in the Canvas Classics thread).

    I am still at work (thought I would be out by 8) but about to go home and switch on the IQ box. At least I know I haven't missed the main event.

    rd 6; FLP lands a nice left in exchange. PM lands nice left against FLP in corner. Same again, PM needs to do more. 10-9 FLP, 60-55.

    Replay early Monday morn/late Sunday night Pedro, may even be one early tomorrow morn

    Rd 7; etc etc, slightly better for PM, FLP lands nice right near rounds end. Evenish, but I'll go FLP again 10-9, 70-64

    Rd 8; FLP slowing? Gets PM covering up on ropes, FLP tries a backhander, warned by ref. Nice right by PM. PM traps FLP in corner 20 secs to go, FLP reverses, still clubbing away. End is in sight, 10-9 FLP, 80-73.
