ROUND 12; Now GA starts throwing. DG lands more body shots, boxing beautifully. GA showboating with 30 secs left...why?
    10-9 DG

118-110 my card, GA just didn't do enough, nice effort by DG, boxed well.

The guy's a ****nut (Geare). Did he actually think he won it?

Geale controlled the fight beautifully and looked like a veteran. What he lacks in class he makes up by being technically strong and professional.

Was it me or did Ajetovic look puzzled that he lost the decision?

Big big thanks for the round by round Leon! Feel like I've got an exclusive over here in the UK. Shame the result didnt go the right way for our lad but sounds like the decision was the right one!

Thanks for all your input fellas, I'll try to return the favour at some point!

No probs, only regret is didn't have enough time to hang **** like I normally do, filing a report in between rounds is bloody hard without missing the next round.

Yeah GA did look pissed off but why I don't know, just didn't do enough in my book.

He can shake his head as much as he wants. He would've been lucky to have decisively won a round. I had it 118-110. His trainer knows the score and knew it early too. He was nowhere near busy enough.

Geale does enough to win rounds but he has some issues.

I wish he would load up on his punches more and work on staying inside or get the **** out. Too many times he get's caught with well ranged shots between punches.

Geale has a huge scoring mindset which is great in theory, but for him, at the expense of any power he'll need to make an impact at a higher level. I felt throughout the fight he provided to many opportunities for Geard to recover and always feel in the contest. It's just Geard took no advantages at all.

I would say an awkward pressure fighter with power would cause real concerns for Geale at the moment.

Sorry to our English friends but your guy was very dissapointing. He showed elements of power and skill but is WAY to inactive. Honestly there were very few close rounds IMO.

Im still feel Geale can improve though. I hope he becomes more active and works his way up the chain slowly.

Agree with that BC but he did land good body shots all the way through the fight that may have had an affect on GA later in the fight. But his pitter-pat combos were also effective in keeping GA from getting set on his punches. That said, he still has a long way to go and it will be interesting to see how his matched up in the future. Has great stamina and workrate but may be a different story seeing him on the back foot against an opponent coming forward landing punches. A work in progress but will be watching his next fight if possible.

I wish Geale all the best, but more than a little gutted for Geard. Ah well - I think waynesmale is gonna try to sort me out with some highlights.

More disappointed that he wasnt really in the fight than the fact he got beat though. Although he is a fairly cautious fighter anyway, he is usually good to watch! Hopefully he'll be able to get over this and get another crack at a fringe title again in the future.

Well done to Geale in what sounds like a well deserved victory

True. I was looking forward to this fight as I thought with all the things I heard and read about Geard any sort of victory by Geale would improve his standing somewhat, allowing me to gauge Geale at a higher level.
But to be then so unimpressed by Geard, I am finding it hard to seperate this level of performance by Geale and his last similar outing with Dawson?? I'll watch the tape Tommorow see if that helps.
Thanks for all you efforts tonight too :good

It was a classic case of a fighter who has never gone 12 rounds before worried about going the distance IMO. Geale's footwork and jabs kept him off balance. Dan needs to tidy up inside, though I was impressed with his body attack. I think a lack of one punch power may hurt him as he progresses. It's going to be fun to watch though.
