anyone that denies there's more to boxing then whats deemed classical "technique" doesnt know **** about boxing. Things, like chin, heart, determination, are things that aren't taught. Just to add, I picked Margo all along.

Would anyone say Cotto might not be as good as thought? Or no?

Hopefully people realized Margarito is a hell of a lot better than they thought he was.

Yes, we, as there are many posters on this site who picked Cotto based on his technical skills, and many who get caught up too much in this side of things without realizing there are other factors that play into it.

    You ****ing ******.

Yep, in boxing more than any other sport not always the "best" wins. While you are throwing bombs you are getting tagged yourself. It was Tony size and grit that won.

    Yeah, lesson well learned.
I didn't see one effective body assult from Cotto. he demontrated great boxing but all the good body shots where coming from Margo! The Tornados chin, pressure, and those body shots really made the difference. After that Cotto had no choise but to fight and thats when the destruction came.

Pacquaio had proven it time and time again.:yep

That's why I went for Margarito and Pavlik against Cotto and Taylor, respectively.

ANd because Cotto and Taylor are not that great of a boxer, in the first place. Their strengths lie on their power, speed and youth, but when they were ranged against fighters at their prime, who pressure a lot, with solid chin, with above-average power, with superior stamina, they did not know what to do.

I knew that physicality and resilience were more important, mental drive too. I was fooled to bet against one of my fav fighters in the present days for that technical-velocity-class arguments from different analysts... I am broke!

If technical skills are all there is to boxing,
Marciano would never have retired undefeated.

Yep, for some reason this was really hard to comprehend. Physics, the rules of combat, common sense, and the laws of nature seem extremely challenging for some people.

He was a very well rounded figther on his early fights.

At 147 he fell in love with his power and forgot the basics.

I think it was after the Victoriano Sosa fight atually.

Pavlik lacks in the chin departement a bit. But you´re right with the rest.
