No ****. He offered to fight Shane but Shane turned him down to get his tooth fixed right on HBO. It's been well documented here with vidoe proof. Funny the level these haters will stoop.:-(

I go wih instincts and I go with knowledge. I know what you are trying to say but I 'm basing my judgement on what I saw in the Cotto vs Margarito fight. I saw Cotto landing at will on Margarito until he gased and got knock out. If cotto could land at Will then Shane will land at will all night long why? because Shane is a lot faster then Cotto, counters better, just as strong, has more experience, and also he's in better condition then Cotto. If you look at Margartio he is slow and his defense is really not that good. He comes forward taking shots just to land one of his and against someone like Shane thats easy pickings all night long.

Lets all laugh at MAyweather fans who either predicted Margarito win or didnt want to predict it of fear of humiliation. Lets laugh at them for thinking Margarito was WAY too big for 147.

Btw Margarito, Mosley, Cotto are the best at 147 they all fought each other, they are 1-1 against each other. Floyd aint fought none of them, so have some respect for warriors and the best 147 lb's.

I predicted that Mosley would be able to stay in the pocket and trade with Margarito, win atleast 4 rounds and not be stopped. I had no doubt that Mosley was more skilled, I just figured he was old and would fade as he did against Cotto, but stay competitive. I never gave this overhyped joke Margarita props for taking this fight, and serves him right getting his ass kicked.

I picked Mosley in this one for reasons you can dig up.

Besides, aren't you supposed to be waiting for Golota's next big fight? Take a hike.

I did the same as well. I picked Mosley to start strong but fade. I said he wouldn't be stopped like Cotto. If this was a prime Mosley I would have picked him by KO with no hesistaion.

I'll give you that...as well as the most level-headed Floyd fan in this thread. You haven't hurled insults and your reason for calling Margo for what he may be is justifiable :good

But I think part of Shane's victory was not only his gameplan. But the fact that he never allowed Margo to bully him in the ring. Shane is bigger if not the same size as Margo is and never allowed Margo to push him in the fight. I don't think Floyd would've done the same thing...if this fight never occurred. I think Floyd would've stole a page out of Cotto's book and tried to land his flurries and get out of there. He would've fought him the same way he fought Baldomir. I still say he would've won, but the reason I said it would've been an ugly decision is because of the way judges personally score fights. Margo might've got the nod because A...he's on his turf...B he would've been the aggressor...and C...he's the champ.

I also don't think Floyd would've caught the hand-wrap thing either. Nazim (as I've stated numerous times before the fight, that it is HE that will bring Shane to victory) is notorious for questioning hand-wraps. I don't think Floyd would've said anything. And his power would still be there and he might've hurt Floyd into running for shelter throughout MOST of the fight.

The fact that Shane kept the fight IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! is enough for me to believe that Shane fought more like Clottey than he did like Mayweather. Toopretty is stretching his comparison of the two to simply get Floyd the same amount of cred as SSM...which isn't the case.

I'll let go of the Floyd didn't want any part of Mosley deal...that's fine.

But to say he would've shared the same amount of success is a bit early and stupid. Ricky Hatton gave Floyd an ugly ass fight. Castillo gave Floyd an ugly fight. A part time and faded DLH gave Floyd an ugly fight. Hernandez and Chavez gave Floyd an ugly fight. I seriously believe Margo would've gave Floyd ZERO respect for his punches and would've hunted him down like he did the rest and Floyd would've really put his conditioning and defense to the biggest test. The fact that Shane is a monster puncher and was strong enough to clinch the tornado is what gave him the edge he needed to get Margo's respect early on.

To say that Floyd would do the same is stupid. Floyd would've tried to do what Cotto did, but with fewer shots and extending the conditioning to the full 12.

To say that I don't know my boxing would suggest that I didn't see a victory here for Shane...which is false.:good
