This obviously means a lot more to you than it does to me, but all those fights you mentioned were pretty much as I said. The last time Mayweather fought anything like Shane did tonight was against Gatti. I suppose he was more offensive against Mitchell who was old and shot. Zab had his number for the first few rounds, he ran against Baldo, the Hatton fight was boring as hell until the last couple of rounds when he opened up on the outclassed Hatton. DLH, Yawn, nothing like how Shane fought in any way.

i agree with the decision for floyd more than likely but the styles would be nowhere near the same fight
floyd lately has been starting slower then using the jab throwin the over hand right an occasional flurry, not power punching or hard combos like shane.
shane fought a big man on the inside and outside switching his attack and also playing the aggressor which is a big key difference
i could never see floyd coming at marg like that
plus i never seen one turtleshell from shane and not once did he lay in the ropes,which would be his only chance against may and he does have one

I've always been a huge fan of Mosley but I couldn't see his legs carrying him through....and I've never been so happy at being wrong.

From the outset we expected both ALI and MOSLEY to use their legs and agility to keep the monster at bay. Instead it was lightning fast jabs followed by straight rights to the head that eventually caused the majority of the damage.

Both ALI and MOSLEY were considered over the hill and came in as heavy underdogs against their younger opponents. Both Foreman and Margarito were the young champions coming off impressive, devestating wins against top class opposition, fighters who had in fact defeated the older challengers, (Frazier , Norton + Cotto).

The challengers were considered more talented than their younger opposition but the powerful young champs were expected to eventually wear them down and send them into retirement via KO.

Both Ali and Mosley used their handspeed to fire off countless headshots until their opposition couldn't tell which one of their five opponents was causing the head trauma. They also employed tactical genius, saving energy by not using the ring or going on the backfoot to often. Instead both Ali and Mosley used the clinch to perfection, tying up their opponent whenever they looked like mounting any type of serious offense. It also frustrated the younger men by not allowing them to gain any momentum.
