Bellew was very close to getting clipped himself as they were standing trading with each other shortly before the finish. Makabu's bombs weren't missing by much at all. I think Bellew's size advantage helped him out a bit there.

Before Makabu fell back into the ropes at the end he was a whisker away with a left hook. Unlike most of the pounding he took that round he actually had his weight on his front foot when he threw the hook.

I was half expecting a replay of round 1, but fair play to Bellew, he took a risk and it paid off this time.

I'll have to watch it again, but there was one point they both just stood there swinging away at each other with reckless abandon and I recall seeing big shots with bad intentions fly by from both of them that barely missed the target. Luckily for Bellew it was him who came out on top in this instance.

Yeah he's small for the weight. I think he's too big to drop down to 175 though. He can still come again at CW of course. I feel sorry for him hopefully he can rebound and won't have a problem securing meaningful fights.

Just watched it again. I didn't even realize at the time Makabu was out cold, like completely out. He looked devastated sitting on his stool in the corner too. Bellew wouldn't shake his hand everytime he offered it to him during the pre-fight press conferences and weigh in and he refused to touch gloves at the end of round 2. To be fair to Bellew he was very gracious to him after the fight but I don't like seeing fighters do that.

Bollox bellew soon as he spotted a dip in his legs put the afterburners on. Was no swinging for the fences he was in total control leading up to the finish.

I honestly think he got caught cold, a few more rounds Makabu would have won but that's what can happen, he'll bounce back, he's good enough.

Don't like Bellew, don't support him. Want to see Usyk or the others retire him.

I don't know what fight U guys were watching. Makabu caught him with the perfect punch in the first and bellew got straight back up as if nothing happened wasn't even hurt. but every time bellew landed Makabu wobbled.
