Tyson Fury has been on the canvas twice during his professional career, on both these occasions he was caught with big over hand rights whilst off balance. Any boxer in history will go to the canvas if caught with a big shot whilst off balance a prime example of this is Ali being dropped by cooper or bugner. During the second Chisora fight dereck caught tyson with a huge overhand right that was more powerful then the shots that dropped him but because he had both feet planted firmly on the floor he absorbed the shot easily also joey abell hit Fury harder then Cunningham or pajkic did but because he was on balance the shots did not drop him. Being 6 foot 9 means it's harder for Fury to keep his balance then shorter fighters but he seems to have rectified this problem. Anyway as I have stated Fury does NOT have a glass jaw.....

Is that why he was holding on for dear life after the knockdown aswell as being hurt vs Cunningham later in the fight also?

I don't think it's great, but not as bad as some like to claim.. He goes down from big shots, sometimes from non-punchers but always gets back up and clears his head quickly.

It's one thing to be dropped by known hard hitters but when you are dropped by non punchers it's always going to set alarm bells ringing especially at heavyweight.

A natural reaction of course but study Fury's bouncy, ****y, risky off balance behaviour in the moments leading up to the knockdowns in the Cunningham fight he only has 1 foot fully set on the floor and is moving backwards off balance at the moment of impact

That's true. Definitely some signs that his chin might be poor, but I have a feeling it's not as bad as some might think. We'll see how good it really is when he steps in with Wlad later this year :good

He's been put down when he's threw shots, his feet have squared up... therefore putting him off balance, resulting in being smacked with a shot which has put him over. He's then got up fine.

More recently his foot work has improved, but if he does get the Wlad fight he better make sure it doesn't happen again because squaring up and walking onto one of his right hands IS NOT a good idea!

Getting up from a KD proves you have a good chin , not a bad one.

He was more embarrassed than hurt by the Cunningham KD.

He seemed pretty poised prior to being dropped heavily by Pajkic as well though.

Fact is Fury has plenty of lapses in technique and defence which leads to these shots landing. Against light punchers like Pajkic and Cunningham that saw him being dropped against serious punchers it's likely to see him out for the 10 count.

Even fighters with pretty good chins will get stopped if they keep making defensive mistakes like Fury does.

Nothing wrong with Furys chin. His concentration and balance have certainly let him down but I think he has an above average chin at heavy with good powers of rrecovery and a massive heart.

Of course this is Tyson Fury we're talking about and there are an army of people who dispise him personally so will endlessly point out he was dropped by a cruiserweight etc. I don't remember the 6 ft 9 Fury fighting at Cruiserweight, if someone has the video please post it .

Cunningham is basically a cruiserweight. He was only 205lbs for his last fight, he could still easily make cruiser.
