    "Bute a suivi avec attention, samedi soir, le combat de championnat entre Joe Calzaghe et Mikkel Kessler. Grâce à sa victoire par décision unanime des juges, Calzaghe a ajouté les titres WBA et WBC à son titre des super moyens de la WBO.

    "Ce sont vraiment deux très bons boxeurs, a-t-il dit. Calzaghe était très bien préparé, il a disputé un combat techniquement parfait."

    Avant d'affronter un adversaire de la trempe de Calzaghe, Bute estime avoir besoin "de quelques combats de plus pour prendre de l'expérience".

    "Kessler et Calzaghe ont acquis beaucoup d'expérience dans la boxe professionnelle avant d'atteindre ce niveau."

    Maybe that is the plan. It's true that Haussler isnt ranked in the top15 of the IBF so he could fit that part of the equasion.

    I wonder...would Jurgen Brahmer be inerested in fighting Bute in February? Would InterBox be interested in him?

    So I was looking at the IBF ranking and noticed that Sam Soliman is ranked 8th at 160lbs.

    Soliman could be a decent first title defense. He has a name and he has the record. His resume includes names like Wright, Mundine(x2), Bika(2x), Zuniga, Joval(x2), Eastman, Ornelas, Hamdam and Kelly!!!

    Not to mention he did a decent job on The Contender finishing 3rd.

    but Soliman just got dominated against Bika, who Bute already beat.

    no network will buy this.

    Bute vs Tsypko would make sense.

    sannavia would be an ideal showcase fight to make bute look good.

    i would not pick typsko as a voluntary defense, he is study/southpaw/ and while i am sure bute would win, he will not look a million dollars doing it.

    wheras against sannavia you get the showcase ko guaranteed.

    I would hate it if Bute fought Soliman...Soliman has been on the slide for years and is no longer a good World Class fighter...I would boycott this fight if it were made; he was outboxed, yes, outboxed by Bika in the Contender, for goodness' sake!:roll: It would be just a resume win...over a hasbeen NAME...screw that! We want better for Bute...MUCH better.

    In my opinion, Sanavia is allright for Bute's first optional defense...not very good, but more than acceptable. It looks like Bute will have to fight Tsypko anyway, as his mandatory, in autumn 2008...If he beats Andrade too, in summer, Bute would have had a very good year, a year in which he would have developed and improved as a fighter...

    and if he fights those 3 he will have been in against a lot of variety.

    sannavia is a patsy / he will need a step ladder to get to bute, has no power and will be the first gimmee defense that most promoters take for there new champ/ andrade as long as bute did not caught with anything silly would be a real fans favourite fight/typsko bute will just have to get out of the way /get the win and move on.

    I didn't know Soliman got dominated by Bika. I haven't seen the fight. I read it was a close ugly fight.

    Tyspko makes no sense right now. He will most likely be Bute's mandatory. I think it would make a good fight but the smart thing to do would be to wait and make that mandatory title defense this summer. If Bute makes that title defense now. He's going to have to make another one before the end of 2008.

    The date was set for the 29th of February, 2008, in Montreal. The opponent, most likely Sanavia, if he beats Haussler, on the 8th of December, will be announced on the 13th of December.:good
