Don`t agree with you regarding level of Magee.

Is clearely better than Brinkley.And I`m not the only one who says it.
And I`d say , this moment is better than Salem which Bute fought.
Brinkley should have been stopped in the 5th.Salem quit after 8th.
So, if Magee resists until 9th with this Bute will be no doubt, though if he resists until 6th should be enough also.

 

Laffie, let`s be clear.

Agree with the part that maybe Showtime would prefer a final Ward-Direll and mainly they just want to declare the undisputed champion.I said that they prefer an American in one of my posts here.But they are aware as everyone that the greatest chance for the last two men has it Ward-Bute.

I made an error and I will corect it: Bute-Winner of tournament is the Interbox goal.THAT`S WHY THEY WON`T RISK GOING AFTER DIRELL IN US WHATSOEVER.

Any of this possible matches implies the network and the two parts.Basically the first agree any of the big SMW ring meetings.The problem is at the two parties.

You can`t oblidge noone fighting someone or someplace his group doesn`t want.

Regarding Bute, Interbox has all cards :champion since 2007, undefeated, among the first 3 in world in all rankings.That`s why they agreed only one exit and that in New York with the only one who will have something more at that time.

And about me, I consider myself realistic and nothing else.
Remember the final of Andrade-Bute II?Lucian said he wants Las Vegas.Someone here, Maxime I guess said he wants Pascal, Hopkins or Dawson in 2010 for Bute or will be very disapointed.I predicted Bute having only two matches in 2010 just like 2009.I predicted Miranda and Bika and I was very close.

So who was desapointed: o so called optimistic one.

For the rest, I don't agree on a major point. Showtime has to approve Bute's opponent. They did agree on Magee because Interbox showed them he was the "best" available opponent. If Kessler and Dirrell are available, they won't accpet anybody else. The only deceiving thing: Both Dirrell and Kessler talk about a tune up fight before taking a big challenge. Unless Dirrell fights very soon (let's say April), Bute will have to wait a bit to face them. Kessler would be available only late this fall.

I'm optimistic because Showtime controls the next fights of all of these boxers.

 

Hope too they`ll force Kessler`s group to take the fight.

Maybe Bedard can convince even Direll to come in the town in exchange.

But has to put his hand deeper in the pocket. Would be a good investment though, wouldn`t be?

 

Yes. One bad payday can be profitable later. His opponent has to agree on the bad payday though. We know Andrade chose to do the rematch in Montreal even if GBP won the bid. If Dirrell wants to fight at home so much that he is willing to accept less momey, Bute should do the same.

Bute has a new trainer. Instead of Andrei Kulescza, who had been with him since the beginning of his career, he works now with Alain Delorme. After a training, Bute goes into a bath of ice for 5 minutes, then he goes in the pool. He does it three times before taking a warm shower. Brrr!

Yesterday (or around, the paper doesn't spedify) Bute did a 2 hours and a half training, then 12 rounds of sparring with 2 different partners. He was exhausted. I think the hard physical work is mainly done. He will keep sparring and maintain his physical condition until the fight. He looks already ripped.
