I'll just translate an article from a Romanian newspaper:

"Lucian Bute has signed a multifight contract with Showtime, worth six million dollars, but, in addition to its staff costs, Mister KO must pay his opponents from that amount.

WTF? Is Bute paying his adversaries? Even Kessler, in case he fights him? I may sound like a hater but this won't motivate Lucian to find better fighters. Maybe I've misinterpreted the article but if it's true I'm expecting a Mendy fight asap.

 

Bute doesn't pay his opponents. Showtime pays 2 millions per fight for both fighters. That's not the same.

He won't fight nobodies if he can find a top opponent because he needs Showtime's approval. They don't give 2 millions per fight for nothing.

Showtime made a deal with Interbox to pay 2M$ per fight for three fights. Aside from this we dont know if theirs other interesting stuff in the contract. For exemple, I guess Showtime have to agree with the opponent of Bute, they might have add that he need to fight insinde X months so to avoid injuries problem that happened in the S6 and such. From that money, Interbox as usual have to pay for the venue, both boxers, the staff, etc. So it's nothing surprising.

I cannot conceive that Showtime gave 6M$ to interbox for them to choose anyone they wants in a span of 3 years and such.

then why they made that deal? If we remember correctly the double header between Martinez/Pavlik and Bute/Miranda was schedule at the same time as Froch/Kessler and Showtime decide to postponed the fight. So I guess they wanted to have every SMW fighters in their backyard to continu to sell their S6. And I think it is working. Kessler always said he will fight the winner of the S6 when he comes back, now he accept to fight Bute for the right too. It must be because Showtime have something in the contract to make it happening and force Kessler to fight Bute.

What is happening with Dirrell? in the same logic, he probably cant fight until the S6 is over unless he accept something from Showtime as they do with Bute and Kessler.

I think its just the best for everyone and everyone should be happy about these.

 

Not too long ago, some "anti-Bute" said he will never fight Froch, Dirrell, Kessler, Ward, etc. Now since the Kessler fight is likely to happen, Kessler is now a old blind taxi driver and Bute should be ashamed to fight him...

Well the only good win that put Ward in the top of the division is against Kessler and one of the top of the division (Froch) lost to him. So in trying to diminish Kessler to diminish Bute, you also diminish Froch and Ward.

I made a post last week explaining that in this forum resume is very problematic because its subjective on what we think of X fighter compare with Y fighter against Z fighter in a different span of time... It's impossible and so seriously flawed. The only thing its worth is to give an idea of the X fighter for somebody who doesnt know him. At the extrem people with an agenda will diminish or hype one fighter against the other in a subjective way.

So for all the serious posters on this site and in any other sites. Their are two categories with the worst "haters" "nuthuger".
1- the troll, you all know what it is
2- the blind and hearing impaired haters
the only way to deal with the first is to ignore them. For the second category you will never change their opinion, so again, it serve no purpose to even aknowledge them. All the serious people (those questionning and not sold on X fighter and the fans of the same fighter) will have a lot of fun debating between each other.

I will of course watch the fight tomorow, good boxe!

How stupid can you be to say after watching those rounds that Ward will beat Bute. Last 3 rounds were a total domination for Bute, just watch the other fight Ward Bika and everyone will see the difference, while Bute beats clearly little Ward robbed Bika of a victory that deserved.
