Looks like Bute's promotional contract with Interbox ends in Mars 2008.

According to a radio show in Montreal.

There are 4 names on the list.

    1- Sanavia (duh!)
    2- Hanshaw (I predicted it!)
3- Joppy (This would be desappointing)
    4- Haussler (Easy!)

Hanshaw would be better for american exposure IMO.

If Bute fights Kessler or Calzaghe the same way he fought Berrio, he will in for a very rude awakening.

Bute said he wasn't close to being ready to fight the likes of Calzaghe and Kessler. He needed to develop and learn a lot before he could compete with them.

Unfortunately, Joe will be long gone by the time Bute is a name and good enough to face him. I think Bute will fight Kessler in 2009, at the earliest, if Kessler has a belt. He would be expected to fight Kessler as soon as Kessler got a belt, after 2008...

I liked the way Bute bided his time against Berrio; he was disciplined and careful. Many things, I didn't like. What are the things that you didn't like about the way he fought Berrio?:think

    Nice one, Maxime!

InterBox have been very good for Lucian, Lucian has repayed their trust and investment in him and together, they have been good for boxing.

    Here's to the next 10 years!:cheers

He was putting on a poor Mayweather imitation.

Yes, and I found it very annoying to the point that I started cheering for Berrio. Go back and watch the fight again and you will see Bute starting to drag his ass the last few rounds. Berrio is a puncher but lacked the skills to punish Bute for his flaws, neverthless Berrio's firepower was beginning to take a toll. Bute's silliness in the ring gave Berrio a chance to win, whereas Berrio would have had no chance if Bute had stuck to traditional boxing skills.

Bute strangely lacked stamina in the last rounds, I don't know why. He seemed timid but that was extreme caution - Berrio had a dangerous punch and Bute had no need to go crazy in there, with Berrio's chin being what it was. So he bided his time. Berrio had a good third round, but after that, the fight was never in doubt for me. I didn't like Bute's performance, to be honest. But "silliness"? Not sure I know what you mean. I will watch the fight again.

By the way, don't you generally cheer against Montreal fighters? It seems to me you don't have much love for them, for some reason...:)
