Well, you should also consider hair length. One cannot make a proper comparison of the two hair densities if the hair cut is not equal. While Froch has at least 3 cm of hair, Bute has really only some mm of hair on his head, it's pretty obvious his head skin will be more visible (moreover, Froch has darker hair color which enhances the overall impression). Anyway, in the ring they will fight with their punches, there will be no hair density contest. Check http://www.gettyimages.ca/detail/ne...ng-a-press-conference-to-news-photo/141596981 They're not equal, Bute looks about 1 inch taller than Froch (their "official" heights are 187 & 185 cm respectively).
First article I see on the press conference...doesn't say much though. Froch says that he has critized Bute in the past for fighting b level comptetion but that he has beaten every fighter that they put in front of him. Froch also says that either Bute is very confident or very stupid to come fight in his backyard. Says that he respects Bute alot. Bute says that it's a good moment in his career to be fighting away from home. He's been critized in the past and says Calzaghe got some credit for doing so at the end of his career.
Ay, there's the rub... see below. Actually, there are several articles available online. Concerning the quoted part, I have some marginal doubt: most sites (say skysports, *****, boxingnews24 and other) report it as follows: He's not often fought out of his hometown so to put his title on the line in my backyard he's either very confident or very stupid I think he's very confident and he's the champion, so why not be confident. That is nice and fair, but on another site I found a slightly different version of the transcript: But he's coming to my hometown to defend his world title and that either means he's very confident or very, very stupid. In truth, it's a bit of both. He probably thinks he's seen a few weaknesses and that he can exploit them. Again, he's very much mistaken. That sounds rather nasty and I would be curious to know if someone actually heard what Froch really said: is it the first version, the second, both of them, something else? :huh
Hair style can be a strong event winning factor :bart I'm sorry but it's important to determine who wins in that field. :hat Oh yeah it's more clear with this one ! Bute is often referred as a tall SMW so it seemed strange to me. :good
On the scene it's the first version. I always trust the scene and it sounds more like sth Carl would say. :hat
