This is what makes me ashamed about these forums. You claim he would have gloated had Bute won, but now Froch has won, you gloat instead.... Have some humility.. Froch was the better man and battered Bute, but Bute is still a solid fighter. So stop being a gloating little dick and grow up.
Froch declared this for him in the ring tonight. I like Bute and had picked him to win but he could never beat Froch. That wasn't a close fight, it was an annihilation. Froch is power is just to much for Bute to handle.
Respect to the Bute camp for there reaction to the fight very classy as for a rematch IMO a really bad idea he lost every second of the fight and got hurt repeatedly.
....sorry, very last post from me, if you'll forgive me, ...for us Bute fans, this is a moment that we need to get real again, about Bute and about other fighters, not to overrate him, not to be so arrogant and know-it-all-ish, anymore, etc., to learn with humility to become better analysts, less nuthuggy and better boxing fans in general, not just obsessed with one fighter! There was a time when Bute fans were the BEST boxing fans of a particular boxer on ESB. We can become that again! Many of us started following boxing and loving boxing because of Bute, and this is why he will always be special to us, but boxing didn't start with Bute and it won't end with Bute. The best of us have in time/will in time become boxing fans first-and-foremost, and only then Bute fans!:good It's a bad night for us but it was a good night for boxing - we had a Champ prepared to defend his undefeated record on foreign shores and it was a hugely dramatic and exciting fight - great for boxing! And don't worry about Bute - he will soon once again impress us with his performance, skill, technique, and of course, with his heart, courage and sportsmanship! :good
This ship sinks quicker than the Titanic. But anyway you guys were criticizing Froch because of his arrogance yet you thought Bute would win easily, there's a lesson to be learned there.
