http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csbtqRHXLys Footwork looks good, but handspeed is good, but not better than good. I remember how slooow he was before the Grachev fight... looked awful. Didn't look great before Froch either, hand-speed wise. Compare this to hand-speed before Andrade II when he looked great - pretty significant difference... I think we will see a very good version of Bute, but not the very best version.
That's also what I see except his hanspeed was pretty good in the pad work. Much better than in the shadow boxing. Power was there too.
Pretty funny..... Bute starts showing some of his defensive strategy for Pascal and Stephan steps in to tell him at 5.24 seconds to stop. Then he tells his boy a little after...
I hope they'll broadcast the fight in Romania. Lucian looks sharp. If someone finds the rest of Bute's public training , share with us . Thanks.
I noticed that Bute loves to keeps his hands low like before, i'm telling you Pascal is no slow fighter like Grachev or Froch, Pascal explodes and if he is quick enough (Which im confident of) he will catch Bute
Bute showed in his training how he will defend himself against the looping punches of Pascal. He'll just raise his hands and put his gloves on the side of his head. Will he have time to do so? If Bute's reflexes are slower than Pascal's punches, Bute is in trouble.
I think you underrate Bute's speed, maybe because of the fact he doesn't move for nothing. He fights at mid-range, staying as close as possible and relying on upper body movement to avoid punches. I expect Pascal to go to the body, even if he usually never does. I hope Bute's trainer prepared something for that. Since Pascal is not used to go to the body, he may give big openings to counters to Bute.
