Thanks! Glad to see you're still around!

Pour combien de temps par contre? lol.. J'avais été banni pour une niaiserie (j'ai mentionné que j'allais m'inscrire sur un autre forum et bang, perma-ban).

That might be true and i agree that Pascal might leave himself open to some vicious counters, which Bute might expose. But the thing is Froch is a very slow fighter and yet he was available to catch Bute again and again, Pascal is way faster than Froch, that's where i see the problem. He does use upper body movement which can make it hard for Pascal, but Jean on the other hand cannot only target the body, the chin of Bute has been exposed before and i think Pascal try to do same while go to the body aswell. Good to see the Buttards are on again, you guys have been missed since the Cobra fight!

    War Montreal ! :deal

How cruel to make your child Root for Lucian Bute, when there's only a matter of time before he is once again knocked out in shamefull fashion. This little kid will probably be crushed when the inevitable happens and his hero is laid out on a strecher.

It's like giving your child responsibility for a pet with an inoperable brain tumor and only a few weeks left to live. I would argue that this borderline child abuse and this should probably be reported to Child Protective Services :-(

We were rebuilding our confidence. Which will never be the same again. I think it's overall a good thing.

Anyone here 'bought' themselves 'disappointment insurance'? I am a believer in it...

...you bet a small amount on the fighter you hope won't win, so that if your favourite fighter loses, at least there's a small silver lining... and if your favourite wins, then you'd have gladly paid the initial stake to guarantee his win in the first place, if you could 'buy' a win that way...

    thoughts?

Kid reminded me of Gatti! :)

p.s. where's Pascal and his psycho-warfare routine? or... perhaps, he's trying to get to Bute by being super-quiet/withdrawn?? :think

I will actually but real money on Bute.

Also if your a fan you'll never feel good about Bute loosing just because you earned few bucks. Unless you bet like crazy on Pascal, but then you turn into a hypocrite because during the fight with a lot of your own investment on the line you will find yourself rooting for Pascal.

    Could this fight happen already??????

They are both ready... well almost... Pascal just needs to pop a few more and then he'll be ready LOL.

Bute sparred with Pascal before... and they both know their capabilities... he sparred with Glen Johnson before too and he looked very sharp and confident in the actual fight. The fact that he sparred with him in the past I think has to do a lot with Bute's confidence and mental strength here. He's looking very confident and comfortable.

We'll see what he can translate that into..... hopefully a WIN.

No... I won't find myself rooting for Pascal.

    Heart = Bute. Brain = Pa$cal ;)

I won't be happy if Bute loses, but I won't be that unhappy if Pascal wins either, because I like him too. However, I'd happily pay 20-30 quid to guarantee a Bute win, and if Pascal wins, the bet win won't make me happy, it will make me less unhappy.

P.s. I am a fan of Bute, in case you don't know. :p

(I wish I had put a massive bet on Froch by stoppage though... That loss required a lot of disappointment insurance...

Or let me put it differently: if you could 'buy' a bona-fide legit Bute win against Pascal, how much would you be willing to pay for it? For me, it's GBP 100.

...if "fan" means "fanatical supporter", then maybe you are right. Still... I would burn/throw away 100GBP to see Bute beat Pascal... and in my book that still makes me a fan because it still points to the fact that my support for him goes beyond the rational/reasonable...
