What is this rumour that Bute is fighting Larsen in Denmark in May? Is this really true? Has it been agreed? Done and dusted?:huh

Mads Larsen to fight Thompson on Arthur Abraham undercard this Saturday

Mads Larsen will return to the ring on March 29 when he takes on Ross Thompson on the Abraham undercard in Kiel. The former European super-middleweight champion is eager to gain some further ring experience to put himself into a position for a title fight later this year. “I have been practicing very hard and look forward to getting back into the ring,” Larsen said. “It is my goal to fight for a title this year and I have to stay in shape..”​

It will be Larsen´s fifth fight since his comeback last May. In October, the Golden Boy (49-2, 37 KOs) saw off Emiliano Cayetano after defeating Nader Hamdan, Hector Javier Velazco and Vasily Andriyanov. “Kiel is not far from Denmark, so I am sure there will be many Danish fans coming over. That will be an additional motivation – it will be like a home match for me.” ​

34-year-old veteran Ross Thompson (26-11, 16 KOs), who has fought opponents like Kelly Pavlik and Jeff Lacy, has been in Germany sparring with European middleweight champion Sebastian Sylvester.​

Dans une entrevue accordée à un journaliste hispanique hier, le boxeur colombien Edison Miranda (30-2-0), qui est considéré comme le plus dangereux cogneur du monde livre pour livre, a défié publiquement Lucian Bute (22-0-0).

Le boxeur gaucher montréalais procédera à une deuxième défense optionnelle de son titre mondial des poids super-moyens (168 livres) de l'IBF en mai ou en juin.

«Ce n'est pas la première fois que Miranda lance publiquement un défi, puis se désiste, a déclaré Stéphane Larouche, l'entraîneur de Bute et le directeur des opérations de boxe d'InterBox. C'est un grand parleur, mais un petit faiseur.
«À tout événement, nous allons voir ce qu'il fera lors de ses deux prochains combats. S'il les gagne avec éclat, nous pourrons prendre sa candidature un peu plus au sérieux.»
