    A Canadian ref and one of the judges is also Canadian.:roll: :-(
    I know this won't have any impact on this particular fight, but it should still be avoided. It reminds me of how Ottke sometimes had a German judge at his title fights.

    I read an article...maybe posted here...that said that Berrio's team was happy with the judges...but I agree with you...a Championship fight in the backyard of the Contender should have judges from outside the Contender's home country.

The third man in the ring and refereeing the action will be Marlon B.Wright of Montreal. Judges at ringside will be Richard DeCarufel of Montreal, Levi Martinez of El Paso Texas, and Alejandro Lopez Cid of Mexico City. IBF Supervisor at ringside will be Lindsey Tucker.     It means nothing to me. I am used to fighting in the opponents back yard and winning. This is exactly what happend in my last two fights against American Mack and German Stieglitz - I KOed them!


    You have the reputation of being tough ! Do you like to live dangerously in the ring?

    I am astough as the life I have been living! I come from a poor family from Cartagena and my first training sessions I did hungry and barefoot. I was suffering seeing my mother get up at 4 am to go and wash clothes. Her hands were the only family source of income. Now, it is my hands who support everyone!


    If you lose your belt, could you start from scratch again?

    I won't lose it! I cannot afford to leave it in Montreal. I have three children at home, aged 9, 8 and 4 and that belt is their future!


    Your manager is stirring up trouble saying he would wish the judges to be fair...

    There will be just us two in the ring. If I am better, I cannot see how the juges will be able to stop me. Bute is not unbeatable.


    Will the fight last less than 12 rounds?
