All right folks, I think it's fair to assume based on Haney's long documented struggle with the 135 limit and team Haney's ominous responses when it comes whether he will continue to campaign at lightweight makes it more than likely he will move up. Haney holds all the belts, so once he vacates all of them will soon find new owners.

The situation when it comes to the WBA belt is certain. Davis holds the Regular belt and should Haney move up, Davis will remain the sole champion. The other belts are a bit more tricky. Fighters like Stevenson, Cruz and Zepeda are ranked in the top 5 in all sanctioning bodies, with fighters like Frank Martin and George Kambosos just shy of the top 5. Since Bob Arum and the WBO are good buds, I expect Stevenson will go the WBO route and face someone like Berinchyk or Fierro for the vacant belt. Isaac Cruz is aligned with PBC, so I expect him to get a shot at the WBC crown, potentially setting up a Davis unification rematch. As for the final belt - the IBF belt. Gustavo Lemos is ranked number one, and should the other fights come to fruition like I think, Frank Martin is the highest ranked possible contender.

I'm curious to hear what are your guys' predictions about what will happen to 135 pounds if Haney moves up. :sherlock:

I'll lose all respect for Devin Haney if he moves up in weight. He's Undisputed Lightweight champ & should be willing to turn back the toughest challenges. That means Stevenson & Tank. There's a status higher than Undisputed & that's ATG. Haney is only two fights away from that & he's leaving the division? I haven't listened to any post-fight stuff but if he's bugging out put a line through him. He's travelled half-way around the world (twice) & switched promoters to get to where he is now & is two fights away from cleaning out the division. Stick around & have a go, son. Don't run away from the first opponents who are favoured to beat you. Stick around & try to beat them. I had him beating Loma, btw. Liked those body punches. We saw none of that from Loma. Sure it was close but Haney, as reigning & defending Undisputed champ, did just enough. Now he needs to use that experience to step it up. Not do a runner.

if Haney moves up how “feather fisted” will he be then?:boxing:

Then again they may need to start carrying him to the scale at the weigh ins if he stays at 135 much longer.

serious crossroads for the guy - plus very few respect the way he won.
