before the fight in an interview if you didn't see it, he did an impression of Itauma and went 'hey guys I'm a big microphone' in a goofy voice lol.

 

I agree with all that you say. What he should learn from this is that u MUST pace urself for going the distance when ur facing someone with a granite chin like he did last night. In boxing term Moses is still a baby.....how many fights has he had? He is still wet behind the ears. Im sure he will come again

 

I was rooting for Hrgovic and I think he had a great win. However there is no denying Itauma's immense talent and to borrow a well-worn cliche: "This loss could be the best thing that ever happened to him." I think prior to this fight Itauma was a victim of his own success and similar to Foreman prior to Ali thought he could take out Hrgovic like everyone else. Sometimes you just got to pace yourself, bank rounds, and get to the final bell.

 

surely hrgovic won a round or two. But it’s true that he was winning vast majority of the rounds. The gas tank is a huge issue as I’ve never seen a fighter gas out like that ever

 

Excuses or not, Itauma and everyone around him were saying Hrgovic was the perfect stylistic matchup for him, and he would blast him out in a few rounds. It sounds a bit ridiculous, but that was the mindset of 90+% or something (both casuals, fans and experts).

 

Wardley gassed out in a similar fashion against Parker. Collapsed to the canvas from sheer exhaustion after the ref waved it off.

Maybe Boxercise Ben isn't getting his fighters to do cardio?

 

Absolutely nothing wrong with that to be honest. He had 3 years of career, 14 fights, got high in rankings. It was clearly time for him to step up. No need to bash young fighters for not being risk-averse and not following Wilder's path.

 

I know everyone is on the gassed bandwagon, but this was more than gassed. Hrgovic landed two hard straight rights I think in the 3rd and really found Itauma's chin. After that Moses wasn't the same. His feet slowed, he was cagier, and Hrgovic started to find him easier. But it was the punches that slowed him down. He will struggle, he will always doubt himself after this, what happens if I can't blow the guy away in 3?

‘Another British hype Job’ I’ve seen that a few times, like implying British boxers didn’t dominate heavyweight boxing for ten years before Usyk.

Itauma would still stop nearly any other heavyweight, he just couldn’t conceive he couldn’t hurt this freakishly bigfoot-esque chinned one.

He does seem a bit lazy with that 21 year old dad bod, but the ingredients are there, hopefully he’s been humbled sufficiently to maximise his potential
